It came out nice. I just think the manufacturer needs to improve the caps, maybe add some baby hair to it. I also think the mesh part of the cap should probably be dark brown.
When I used a braided wig cap for these same crochet dreads i put the latch through the braid instead of under I found that much easier and I like how you sewed the bad back in the front i was concerned that if I did that it wouldn't fit as snug. Also to save hair I put less hair at the nape. Overall i love these braided wig caps. My hair cant take the stress of crochets this is a great alternative.
that cornrow cap is a no for me. its way to bulky and i feel like i get better results with just the netted cap. thanks for sharing though you did a good job.
I think what makes it bulky is its not small head friendly. My mom had it and it was bulky on her i haven't had any issues with bulky. I also didn't put the crochets under the braid i put them through the braid. Hair lays very nice.
+LadyJustice to hide the front I looped over the band and crocheted my real hair at the front also used head bands I even did a "halo" braid across the front !
I like thanks for showing me how to do this I made one a braiding wig it came out good but was hard to get through the braids and I didn’t know you have to see the cape this tip help a lot
I used the braiding cap to make my wig and it definitely didnt look like a hair hat like someone said. I braided the front of my hair and added the dreads the the front and the wig sat behind it. It looks very natural. I would leave the front like this young lady did.
Hi today I purchased a braided cap with a full bang pattern. Im adding box braids to the cap. How many crochet braids should I add to each braid on the cap? I'm trying to keep the braided cap from looking so bulky. Plus I found it easier to go thru a braid instead of going under the braid. Thank you
Thanks for sharing. I am making my first wig and this tutorial really helps. I had to buy one of these braided caps because the unbraided mesh caps run to small in size. Any suggestions on where I can buy plain mesh caps without braids in a larger size ?
Can you do a tutorial on the braided wig cap for senegal twists or lemonade or some type of braids. I am asking for a friend and would like for her to see so she can get an understanding. Also would you only use crochet style packs of hair? Can you please get back to me asap!
that cap was designed for sew ins not for the crocheting the braids on the cap are very bulk and make it harder to style the crochet twist/braids/dreads
If you have enough hair in the front, braid your hair, then pull the crochet cap back a little bit , put some of the dread braids on your braids and on the crochet cap, so you can pull it back so it look natural in the front ,to hide that lace , I'm just saying that's how I would do it if I was doing it
She says about 2 hours but I wonder about her guesstimation... You can tell she stopped then came back to it the next day or a few days later (her nail polish changed from red to blue) lol!
Lov ur personality but that cap has to go. The braids on the cap is just a little too big for me and it seems like you use five packs rather than 10 packs cuz I just see nothing but braided hair underneath.. but you did an awesome job with what you had to work with..🌸🌸🌸
I didn't like the crochet cap. I think they should put more braids in the front and try to cover the lace up under the braids so that they look more natural ,like for a person that doesn't have any hair, it would look to wiggish the way they have that crochet cap looking ,I gave it a thumbs down, but your hairstyle I like that
