When you're on a tight budget and want the look of an old painting but can't buy one, this DIY hack will do the trick!
I used Matte Mod Podge to paint over a print to give texture that looks like a painting. You can paint over art found in magazines or books, prints, canvas prints - whatever you want. There might be some slight rippling of the paper but if you secure it to a backing well, this can solve the problem.
Experiment on a few throw away pieces first to get the feel of it and you'll be all set!
