This will likely be our last hair tutorial on Kamri for awhile, as she's leaving for BYU in Utah this week. She's always been a diehard loyalist when it comes to helping me with #backtoschool #hairstyles, and we are really gonna miss her around here!
This Faux Waterfall Tieback was inspired by a style I saw on account @sacyapimvideolari on Instagram. The hairstyle is stunning, as it adds definition to the top and sides of your hair, without being too complicated to create. It holds up fairly well, and can be dressed up or down. I added a bow accessory for flair, but you do not have to. A simple tieback is just as beautiful!

Items Needed: Brush, rat-tail comb, spray bottle, hair elastics, dry shampoo, texturizing powder {if desired}.
Time Requirement: 3-5 minutes
Skill Level:
Easy
Step-by-Step Instructions:
1. Part the hair down the middle of head.\
2. Use Hairitage Dry Shampoo or Hairitage Texturizing Powder to add grit to the hair.
3. Take a small "square" section of hair near the top-center back of head, and secure with a rubber band.
4. Divide that section off into two strands, and make a loose 3-strand braid on each side, securing each with a small rubber band.
5. With your thumb and forefinger, separate the elbow on one of the brad stitches, and with your other hand, gather up a section of hair next to the front part line of head, and thread it through. Drop that strand.
6. Repeat Step #4 all the way down the braid until you have pulled through sections down to hear ear. Let braid fall and begin the same Steps #4-5 on the other braid.
7. Bring the braided ends together in the back, in a tieback, and secure with an hair elastic.
8. Remove the elastics from the ends of the two braids, and unravel what remains of your two braids.
9. Add hairspray and accessory {if desired}.
