I'm recently into peptides. Its a bit confusing as I'm reading conflicting information about HOW to incorporate them into my routine. I've seen some say it can be buffered using another serum so that it can be used with things like vitamin C. But ive also read it should NEVER be used with acid. A video o.n using them would be most appreciated. Thanks! ❤
In terms of copper peptides and L-ascorbic serum, it’s better not to use them in one routine. Use vitamin c in the morning and copper peptides at night. If it’s vitamin c derivative, it’s fine to use them together. If we talk about acids, it’s fine to use acid and copper peptides in one routine, acids would help with penetration. But you need to buffer. So use your acid product first, wait for 15-20 min, after apply something hydrating to buffet and after that you can apply copper peptides. Hope it would help!
it is fine to use ANYTHING (including L-ascorbic) with peptides but that does not mean your skin can tolerate it well. Always wait about 20-30min after anything strong or acidic before putting on the next product.
I have found that copper peptides (niod) gives almost immediate benefits. it's wound healing (helps tremendously with acne healing) and makes the skin very very smooth. Benefits realized within 2 - 3 weeks of use
I love the Ordinary Argireline and the Timeless Synthe 6. The Buffet broke me out ( i think because it contains castor oil) and the Timeless has truly been a game changer.
Have you looked into bakuchiol at all? Def you would want to check with your doctor to make sure it's ok since it's a newer ingredient, but from what I've heard it's considered a pregnancy safe alternative to retinol. I really like the bakuchiol serum from medik8, it's a high quality one.
I just got the “new” buffet lol it’s been one week and I am absolutely sold on copper!!!! I love the RNW ceramide serum it’s like way stronger I use buffet in morning and RNW at night I can already see results !!!! It makes my way too complicated routine super simple … vitamin c is too strong to use in the am after my tretnoin at night 🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍 highly recommend!!!!!!!
Hello Kelly Can you Please make a vid on how to use the peptides in conjunction the rest of your day or night routine. And is there anything I should not pair it with? Love you lots!
I used one bottle of NIOD copper peptides and did not see any benefits but as Kelly said this needs time to work. Unfortunately though my budget cannot support 3 or 4 bottles in a row to see results. Wonderful video as always Kelly😘
Dr. Pickart’s Skin Biology CP serum is 25 bucks and comparable to Niod. Plus you can use it with retinoids in same routine. Pickart is the one who discovered copper peptides and was making products in the 80’s.
Thanks for all the information you share :). About the serums of The Ordinary, in fact I LOVE their texture, more than the texture from the serums of NIOD because there are easier to work with, I don't like when the serums are very liquid :P.
I am way to expresive with my face I raise one eyebrow up more then the other now I have a line their , it's so annoying. I use peptides love them but I also got Botox for that and headaches and nothing beats that ,I am going back to get it again at the end of the month they say people get it ever like 3 or 4 months but it's been a year for me exactly and I just now need it again because I use peptides daily to help and I think they do really help to prolong the results of Botox. * I use the RNW ceramide plus serum it has peptides , the purito serum also peptides in i it, the dear Klairs midnight serum let's just say almost every skincare product I put on my face has some kind of peptides in it..lol right down the moisterizer but I'm sure u don't need that many products I just have the mind set more is more..🤣
Have you tried the cos de baha peptide serum or toner? It has Matrixyl 3000 and Argireline. Not sticky and absorbs quickly. Also unscented. Only $15 for 4 ounces too!
The Niod copper peptide is the most expensive skincare I own and am willing to splurge since it really makes a visible difference on my face (i can see the difference when I stop using it). Am tempted to try the Ordinary version but wondering how much difference it will really make. Based on your experience comparing the 2, how much more effective is the niod copper peptide one compared to the ordinary buffer+copper peptide and do you think it’s worth spending the extra bucks for that in your opinion.
🤔 Reading the label, I see Klairs Freshly Juiced Vitamin Drop contains the same (plus a few more) peptides as Midnight Blue Youth Activating Drop, but it’s not advertised…
I’m so intrigued by this new skincare. It’s so expensive though 🤦🏼♀️ Hoping to hear more about it on this channel as well as other channels like Dr Dray, Doctorly and the budget dermatologist.
Hey Kelly! Could you review NICHE BEAUTY LAB Theramid Copper peptides 3%? seems promising but I am not sure and the price is affordable! also CERAMIDE TREATMENT High-Dose Ceramide Treatment with ceramide 2 pecent and cica 1 %? it looks so good and I wonder why there are not many reviews on it in YT? :)
Great video! I really like both CAIS and CAIL, but unfortunately they are too expensive for me now that Deciem have raised their prices :( I'm on the hunt for new peptide serums, and wonder if anybody has experience with Medik8 Liquid Peptides? I've tried both the Buffet and Buffet + CP, and did not like them.
I am done with the sticky Ordinary serums but want those ingredients! I am curious as to how much actually gets into the skin if it is laying on top of it. It just does not absorb like other serums.
Hey Kelly I was wondering what you ask for when you get your hair cut it looks great! And for the NOID copper serum what age would you say to start using for preventative measures?
Thank you, I usually just leave it up to my stylist honestly! I've been getting long curtain bangs (more of a shorter face framing layer) and then longer face framing layers through the length of my hair. This time she said she cut them a little more "heavily" to give structure. As for age, really any time is a good time but it may be helpful to know your body starts to produce less of it's own collagen around age 25.
I tried a face cream and eye cream with that botox in a bottle peptide and they dried my skin out in a week! I never had an issue like that, I have combination skin and was really surprised by this reaction... Am I allergic to it or what else could have caused it. The moisturiser you will not know, it is made in Poland, but the eye cream was Iunik Propolis one...
I love that serum it has alot of great ingredients in it and Dermtlgy is doing a 30% off for their anniversary right now that's the perfect time to try it if you haven't .
Hey Kelly! I want to incorporate peptide in my skincare routine, but I’m hairy girl and peptide helps to grow hair! Will peptide make my skin hair hair thick and increase the hair? I’m super confused!! Help!!
Hi, thanks for this video. But I'm wondering, can I layer peptides with retinol or BHA? Since I use retinol at night and BHA in the morning (for my blackheads).🙂
Kind of unrelated, but have u tried a brand called Daymellow? After u introduced me to Keep cool, I got v into bamboo, and it’s such a cheap and hydrating produc???
I'm a new peptide serum user. My skin is combination sensitive. The serum I'm using is from an Indian brand called The Derma Co, and it's stinging my face every time I use it. I'm using it on a clean face and following it up with a moisturizer. I'm not using any other actives with it. I just wanted to know whether peptide serums in general are supposed to sting or not. And if not, then what am I doing wrong and how can I use the serum properly so that it doesn't sting.
Angeline has some good advice to check the other ingredients in the product, peptides are not an ingredient that stimulate skin in that way. Perhaps a different ingredient is bugging your skin, or this product formula just isn't right for you.
I want to use copper peptides but I know retin a interferes with it.I am not sure if it can be used in the same routine as vit c with my morning routine.
If you use a retinoid at night, you can use your copper peptide serum in the morning. I've read that they can't be used alongside vitamin C, so maybe use them on alternate mornings.
