Thanks that was great. We've done that walk but the other way round, Whitstable to Faversham ending at Conyer Creek. What a nice surprise to see the "Favourite" oyster smack (boat) on RU-vid. That was my Great grandfathers, he had the pub next to it the "Fisherman's Arms" and the one opposite the "Guinea" This was all about 1876 so before my years, but my mother never let me forget my history in Whitstable, still live here.
So enjoyed this one Richard, a proper Daytripper adventure. If I’d been there with you, never mind the seagulls, you’d have been fighting me off your fish n chips too. 😂❤️😳🇬🇧🇵🇭🌴
Never eat outdoors in Tankerton, Whitstable or Herne Bay. Those dinosaur seagulls are ruthless! You’re lucky they didn’t carry you away. A lovely walk there, Richard. One I must complete myself as the best bits are near me 😉👍🏼
They left me alone because they knew I’d got my hiking poles to beat them with Tim😂 I’m doing my best to keep getting out for a few hours each week - no camp but it’s just good to be outdoors
Thanks Richard… entertaining as ever 👏. Yep, seagulls are hoodlums 🤣. I live in a city centre, some 20 odd miles from the coast, and they create havoc with food waste bins, and unlike other birds, these pests fly at night 😳😁
looks like you picked the right time of year to walk it, went in the summer not long after moving to Whitstable and found there's no shelter from the relentless sun. Love ossies chippy
It was windy but turned out bright. You never know what you’ll get so always best to prepare for rain and any dry weather is a bonus. You’d need good hat and shades in summer for sure 👍
Thanks again - I’m trying to get out at least once a week, it’s not always possible to camp but getting outdoors is so good, but takes a bit more effort in the cold 👍
Great day walk! I"ve done several aroung Tokyo, Chiba, and Saitama. I haven"t been to England for decades but remember doing similar walks with my family. England has such lovely little villages to explore.
Thanks Dominic - I’m doing my best to get out and about each week, exercise and head space time. Even revisiting places is interesting as you notice new things. Hope you get out exploring over there 👍
Yet another most enjoyable video! Many RU-vid walkers and campers use drones but your drone footage is so artistic! The overhead view of the seawall made it look it went on forever! Also, I really like your music selections. Last but now least, fish and chips by the sea.......heaven!!! One of my fondest memories of being in the beautiful and scenic UK! Well done!
Must have been nice to reminisce Richard. Always great to go back to the place of one of your first ever walks. Looks a really nice walk too. Loved the drone shots when you were walking on the wall. Very dramatic
I enjoyed revisiting this one. I’ve done so many now in my area Anthony I thought I’d go back to the best ones and experience again. There are things you miss the first time. I love playing with the drone it’s a good break on the walk but does look dramatic with the music. Great fun to edit these thanks for watching 👍😄
I'm loving your videos! Thank you! So much to say about this one! I was going to suggest binoculars for when you do open wasteland type camps. They help in that you can see if people might be looking your way and taking notice of you. More detail in other words. I stopped your video halfway before coming back to it, to go and order a jacket ha ha.. The seagulls; consider a small umbrella.. When eating your fish and chips, put up the brolly. Also good to put up if your getting swarmed by them! I live in the city and I had a first for me last week, 13 hits (I think you know what I mean) from the seagulls. A brolly is also good for keeping dogs at bay too and also helps with the rain. All the best to you..
Hi Mally - my binoculars are great but quite heavy so I don’t always take them with me. I hope you like the jacket I think it is great and has kept me warm so far this winter. I use my trekking Poles as protection from rogue dogs, people or gulls they’ve served me well so far 👍😄
@@DayTripperAdventures Ah, but a brolly hides the fish and chips from view from the seagulls and also provides protection from their droppings 🤣 I agree the binos you have wouldn't be worth the weight penalty when carrying all your kit, but something to consider with regards to a smaller pair. I've found mine indispensable on selected outings..
Great little walk and perfect looking lunch. Didn't realise you were such a late starter to this outdoor channel thing, you've certainly packed in a lot since. A true inspiration, note to self beware the dogs and gulls of Whitstable.
tomorrow is Saturday again! good achievement, I started publishing on my ch around that time too, cool aerials of the wall ! we also have Dechatlon here, nice binoculars, cool lunch and grafiti, it was a perfect walk !
