You are the first booktuber I've ever watched! thank you Zoe for introducing me to what is now my favourite thing to watch, and for introducing me to some amazing books!! love from Ireland🍀❤❤❤❤
I've been under a reading slump for more than a year then I watched you Zoe and I rose from the dead 😭😭 I started reading again love you from the Philippines! ❤️🤘🏻
Girl same 😭😭 last year I only read 12 books when the year before I had read 30! But this year I started watching Zoe and I'm reading aaallll the time!! Zoe is the cure for reading slumps LOL
What makes you different from many booktubers is that you’re so funny, the way you express yourself doesn’t make the video boring but interesting. Good job! 😄
how my day was made: a notification "readbyzoe uploaded a video" my favorite book from last year is definitely fantastic beasts and where to find them love from Egypt
I read Anne one summer when I was in Prince Edward Island. I have family down there and it was so cool to be on the family farm reading about a girl living on the island.
How did u mention and talk about your fav books u read in TWO YEARS?! What a hero! I loved seeing you gushing about the books you read and loved in those years! Xxx
Anne of Green Gables was such a joy to read, I'm slowly making my way through the series So glad you've finally read The Book Thief and enjoyed it so much :)
So many of these books you mentioned are on my TBR and I'm so excited to get to them, especially The Book Thief and Turtles All The Way Down! I'm so excited to get to both of them later this year, and I'm so glad you liked them, I hope I like them just as much! 😊👍📚📖❤️
I honestly love you so much Zoe you are so light hearted and loving of everyone no matter what!!!💖💖 you make my day and you have a great taste in books.💖💖💖❤️
Another great thing about Gentleman's Guide is the epilepsy rep. I have a sibling with the same condition, the way the other characters reacted to it was really relateable and very accurate.
readbyzoe The way she described Percy's seizures was actually so accurate that when I found out that my brother had epilepsy I knew what it looked like. I'm planning on rereading it this year. I'm also going to have my brother read it so he can get a idea of what it looks like.
I read both the Upside of Unrequited and Eliza and Her Monsters and LOVED them. Glad to hear you enjoyed them too! Glad you are feeling better and betting back into the swing of things. :hugs:
Anne of Green gables is one of my favorite childhood books (& movies) that's saying something as growing up I hated reading with a passion. One of my goals for this year is to read as many LM Montgomery books as I can. Another one of my favorites by her is the Blue castle.
I felt the same way about Turtles all the Way Down. I wasn’t planning to read it but kept seeing it recommended so I gave it a try and I was pleasantly surprised. It was interesting to read from the perspectives of someone who suffers with mental health issues as it is a growing issue these days, and so i feel like this book is very relevant to current times and needs to be read by everyone!
Yes yes yes! I love PEI and go at least once a year as I live only a few hours away from there. It is so beautiful and you can go through and Tour Avonlea Village and see the Green Gables farm too! ❤️
I honestly don't know! I am about to start exam season and then I will be extremely busy this summer (I can't talk about what I'm doing yet) 😬I love readathons, but they take A LOT of time and energy. I'm sorry I don't have a clear answer, but I hope you understand!
I'm a new subscriber and yesterday I was just looking through your videos and was surprised you didn't have 2016 and 2017 favorite videos and the next day they are here!))))
Wohoo so many of my fave booktubers posted on my birthday! Best birthday binge. But to your question: fave books in 2016 were Scythe (Niel Shusterman), Unrivalled (Alyson Noel), and A Monster Calls! Fave 2017 reads were Carry On and Caraval. I also fell in love with other books but started to get horrible shiny book syndrome and have so many that I started reading in those years but haven't finished. (Gotta fix that...)
I love your energy! You're so funny, and I like that you really explain why you think a book is good. I read "Simon vs the homo sapiens agenda" two days ago, and I loved it. Thank you for all recommendations, I'll make sure to look these up! edit: I love "Turtles all the way down" too! I cried in the end.
Last year I re-read both the whole Percy Jackson collection and Skulduggery Pleasant, it took all year. So I pretty much loved everything I read but Skulduggery Pleasant, the first book, will always be my number one
I lived in Summerside, PEI for a few years(I'm originally from New Brunswick, Canada), and it's absolutely GORGEOUS there, especially in summer/fall. Cavendish is around 15 minutes from my old house & that' s where L.M. Montgomery grew up & where all the Anne related things are. I definitely recommend visiting there if you get the chance(I also grew up with the 80's tv version). 💕
Omg I’ve never read Anne of Greene Gables but I LOVE Anne with an E on Netflix and I am obsessed! Patiently waiting for new episodes. And also want to visit Prince Edward Island. Looks beautiful in the series!!!
The first audio book I’ve ever listened to was a Gentlemen Guide to Vice and Virtue. And I completely and utterly fell in love. Could you possibly recommend any more good audio books?
I know this isn’t book-related, but I’ve always liked that pink blanket on your bed, so it inspired me to crochet a similar blanket of my own! 😄 Also, crocheting is a great activity to do while listening to audiobooks. Greetings from Germany ❤️
I didn't have goodreads in 2016 and I think it was a slow reading year, so the only fiction book I could find that I read was As Old As Time by Liz Braswell, but I liked it a lot, so I'll go with that. I almost said Prisoner of Azkaban, but I realized I read Harry Potter in 2015, not 2016. For 2017 my favorite book was Winter by Marissa Meyer, or really just the entire series. As for books you mentioned that I've read: I read both Turtles All the Way Down and Eliza and Her Monsters in January. TATWD is my favorite book of the year so far and I also really enjoyed Eliza and Her Monsters.
This is really belated haha but I enjoyed your video so much! I haven't caught Love, Simon yet as it's still not out in my local cinema. But am looking forward to it. My favourite book from 2016 had to be The Book Thief and from 2017... The Midnight Rose by Lucinda Riley.
I read Eliza & Her Monsters at the beginning of this year & its definitely going to be one of my 2018 faves. I loved it so so much :) (& I love Carry On!!!!!)
You should watch the TV show "Anne With An E". It's on Netflix and it's such a good adaptation of Anne of Green Gables. I'm so excited for the second season. :') If you loved the book, you'll love the show. :)
Love your videos Zoe! I stopped reading HP and the Deathly Hallows just to watch!! My favorite book of last year was without a doubt Renegades by Marissa Meyer :) It had very subtle diversity and the plot of the book can appear to be slow but it just set up for a great conclusion ahhhh can't wait for the finale to come out
I loooooooove Anne of Green Gables and a have read the whole series (except the last one because I'm not emotional ready yet) and aaaah I could talk about it for hours!!!!
I love you HAHAHAH, no matter why you forgot to do your favorite books of 2016 too bc I watch your videos with emotion anyway bc you make me feel so happy idk
My favorite read of 2016 was probably The Long Way to a Small Angry Planet by Becky Chambers, and my favorite read of 2017 was definitely All Rights Reserved by Gregory Scott Katsoulis.
We have a similar favorites list!! Book thief and raven boys were in my top 3- I’m procrastinating finishing the raven king tho because I don’t want this journey to end 😢
Don’t worry Zoe, I was also late to the Book Theif party. I didn’t read it until last year and I had so many regrets that I didn’t read it earlier a h a.
My Favourites of 2017 were Memoirs of a Geisha, Jane Eyre, In Order to Live, Outlander, Jane Unlimited & The Secret Garden. From your list I think I'll pick up Eliza and her monsters! I bought The Raven Boys the other day :) x
Hi Zoë! I love your channel! Just wondering when you are planning to do your next Read-A-Thon by Zoë? I live for those! I'm so torn in asking for more or telling you to sleep more lol. Love you
