Hey guys! Thanks so much for the shout out! Another great episode. Since I grew up in the 70's I can relate to all of your choices. My biggest early teen memory is watching so many of these great bands on Don Kirshner's Rock Concert. Cheers!

Although I never tire of KISS-talk, I'm good with the branching out. As for my fave KISS costumes, I like several, but a couple really stand out to me. Peter's Destroyer outfit. Sleek, provocative, cool. And few will agree with this (though you two did), but I've always loved Ace's Elder/Creatures outfit. Simplified and refined, but still pretty cool. Sometimes less is more. Favorite '70s American rock albums...Holy shit, what a decade entertainment-wise. That Van Halen debut literally changed the landscape sonically. But besides KISS, there were many great albums. Yet certain ones stand out in my mind: Meat Loaf - Bat Out of Hell. Stone cold masterpiece. Cheap Trick - Budakan and Dream Police. No throwaways on either one. Alice Cooper - From the Inside. An underrated gem. Any Raspberries album. Thank you for yet another interesting and enjoyable listen, guys.

From The Inside...YES YES YES!!!! Absolutely love that one. Nurse Rosetta! Man I totally forgot to mention Budakon, and Cheap Tricks debut. I'm gonna have to correct that next episode! Bat Out Of Hell is a masterpiece absolutely !!! Good choices man! JF

Totally agree about Ace's Elder costume. It always looked kinda Punk Rock to me, and still manages to cspture the Space Man vibe. Cool.

Duuudes!!! I have enjoyed the heck out of your Music of Kiss podcasts, and given your obvious love and knowledge of all music, I've been kinda hoping that your podcasts would branch out in this direction! Some of my favorite 70s American Rock: Ramones "Rocket to Russia" and "Road to Ruin", Cheap Trick "At Budokan" ( mind blowing, so raw and chaotic and catchy at the same time), and The Cars debut (Elliot Easton is an amazing guitar hero who deserves way more recognition, imo). Also listened to a lot of Aerosmith and Ted back in the day, too. I'm torn between "Toys" and "Rocks", though. Probably gotta give it to "Toys", though, for "No More, No More", my favorite Aerosmith song of all time. As for Kiss costumes, I will always love the sleazy, S&M look of the "Alive!" era. Kinda low budget, but cool as hell and scary looking. Love the tee-shirts ( I'm a big Dylan fan, too, and have been to a lot of his concerts over the years). Didja know that Judas Priest got there name from a Dylan song? "The Ballsd of Frankie Lee and Judas Priest", from "John Wesley Harding". Loved the "God of Thunder" footage and looking forward to the next episode!

It's cool about the Kiss costumes....I'd never noticed or realized that they differed UNTIL I heard you guys talk about it. Thanks for the education. I never picked up on variances of that first make up era. Very cool. A real good tip-of-the-hat to Kiss, as designers, and then to anyone who helped them out later on. BLOOD ON THE TRACKS - does it count as a 70s album if you didn't discover it until 1987? That's how long it took me. BILLY JOEL - My favorite ones are the ones that are not THE STRANGER and 52ND STREET. Yes, those were the ones that brought him to the mainstream, but you gotta check out the others first. The Beach Boys 70s output is a mixed bag...on the surface. But, if you clock in time with those albums, your feelings WILL change. I guess that's what the early 1990s were for. If you're ever up for the search, check out SHAZAM, LOOKING ON and MESSAGE FROM THE COUNTRY by the Move from the UK. One of those groups...HUGE in England, but couldn't get arrested here in the US. My late big brother and I discovered them by accident in 1972. Happily, Ace, Gene and Paul were fans too. Search them out, if you haven't already. Think - The Hollies meets The Who!

We love The Move!! Especially Peter. He's been preaching them to me for awhile now. I do dig em tho. Especially Brontasaurus. Killer tune!

Favorite Kiss costumes are probably Dynasty- Unmasked era. When I was getting into them I watched that Unmasked concert from Kissology 2 all the time. So I got used to them looking like that. They don't pull of the capes as well as Rick Wakeman, I see going for the one back there. Id probably go with wake of the flood , from the mars hotel or terrapin station with grateful dead.

Wake of The Flood is so good. Here Comes Sunshine and Eyes of the World might be 2 of my all time faves. Thanks for checking in Bryson. Still loving your videos! JF
