We generally do a 1:1 ratio on all of these fragrances. On Sauvage & Ultramale we have tried 2:1 ratio depending on which you want more pronounced and it smelled nice as well. But in general we do 1:1.
@@redking8506 front of the neck and back of the neck usually. But sometimes left and right and skip the back. Honestly it just depends on spray mood 🤷♂️😅
@@SoCalScents I’ve actually never intentionally layered fragrances together because I didn’t know how, but I’m definitely going to do the ultra savage tonight.
Definitely interesting! I just think D&G The One EDP is such a incredible scent. Yes it has performance issues but I’ve found out just because I can’t smell it on me anymore doesn’t mean my wife can’t! Especially on clothes
I personally just use Molecule 01 or 02 to layer. When I use a designer or niche frag, I prefer to only smell like one, some just need to be amplified a bit with ISO E Super or Ambroxan.
@@user-ic1mx4hj5d exactly. I guess I was referring to Tribute8 Molecule 01 and 02 (found on Amazon) but your right, much more concentrated when its raw.
Nice video. In the next layering video, can you try the following fragrance layering: 1. YSL Y EDP + Prada L'Homme 2. PDM Herod + Dior Homme OG 3. Versace Dylan Blue + Mont Blanc Explorer 4. Dunhill Icon + Terre D Hermes 5. Roja Elysium + Creed Aventus 6. Mont Blanc Starwalker + Rasasi Al Wisab Day 7. Rasasi Hawas + Azzaro Chrome Extreme 8. Azzaro Wanted by Night + Versace Eros Flame 9. 1Million Prive + PDM Pegasus 10. Prada Lunna Rossa Black + Armani Code Absolu 11. Bvlgari MIB + Hugo Boss Boss Bottled Intense 13. Initio Rehab + YSL La Unit De L'Homme 14. Dior Homme Intense + Initio Oud For Greatness 15. MM Jazz Club + Tom Ford Noir Extreme
One of my favorite combinations is Hawas with Azzaro Wanted by Night. It keeps the sharp/fresh opening of WBN alive longer, and gives Hawas an amazing sweet warm depth.
Boys, my go-to signature is Molecule01 first, then a healthy coating of Allure Homme Sport Eau Extreme on top. Tip: For close encounters - apply 1 heavy spray of M01 on the back of your neck, overspraying some on your hair. Then hit that same area with a heavy layer of AHSEE. Do NOT spray the sides of your neck. Only the back of your neck the lower part of your hair as well as the top of your shoulders. The bonus with this technique is that the cologne lasts way longer when applied to your hair and clothing. That why when you hug her, she's burying her nose in the cologne, but if she kisses your neck, she's not getting a mouthful of alcohol and chemicals. With this combo you leave an "alluring" sillage/scent trail. My GF LOVES this combo. I have over 100 different colognes in my collection and probably 75 or 80 + decants of various ones and this combo is the ONLY one she specifically ASKS for. BTW, she absolutely hates Aventus - and in reality, it seems that most chicks do. I'm going to try the Hawas + The One tonight and see how that one goes over. Also, I had Ultime, and I couldn't get past the sage note, so I sold it on eBay. The GF didn't like it either, nor does she like Prada L'Homme or L'homme L'Eau or Versace Signature ( supposedly a clone of the OG Allure Homme Sport ). Anyway - interesting vid. The other combo I like is M01 again, plus Givenchy Gentleman Cologne (clear bottle with the white label). Another great combo.
Rasasi Hawas + Spicebomb Extreme = Jelly Doughnut, smells just a bakery! Tobacco Vanille also works here as well! Love this video idea. Keep it up guys!
I tried Lacoste blanc & 1million Spray the lacoste first and then 1m fresh and sweet like fresh bubblegummy kinda vibe.. It also boost the longevity as well. Just try it guys, a safe combo for sure!
Generally not the biggest fan of layering... but Tom Ford Black Orchid + Orchid Soleil is great stuff. Also Guerlain L'Homme Ideal + Ideal Cologne. I like to spray one on each side of the neck separately rather than both on top of each other too
Ultra Male really does layer very well! One of my earliest combos actually involved layering Zara's Gourmand Leather (right when it came out) with the original Le Male. Rounds out the bubblegum nicely with a good dose of extra lavender.
Not sure this would count as layering or not but on my skin applying Nivea akin lotion before spraying Guerlain L’Instant de Guerlain worked great on me. It smooths out the thick and ashy part, making it a lot less harsh to my nose. The milkiness of lotion also mixed with dry chocolate, making it more fun and less formal.
I have commented on a lot of your TikTok's (Operation:Olfaction) and I've been filming some stuff for layering favorites in my own collection. I have a personal love that is kind of a spin on your first one, there are two takes on it that I love. Instead of BR540 I use Cheeky Smile by Jusbox and instead of Aventus I use Hacivat by Nishane (sometimes play around with cedrat boise), The other one I love is Reflection Man + Hacivat. A few of mine are major rule breakers like combining two heavy scents, or playing around with the fragrance wheel triangles.
I've just got back into fragrances and sprayed a decant the other day with the best combo ever. Annoying I made it over a year ago so I can't tell how to remake it!
@@SoCalScents you got to check it out man. It’s basically a pineapple upside down cake. 1:1 sprays of each (but remember these are potent). Base is Hundred Silent Ways so you got that bright vanilla. Then the Hacivat gives it that juicy juicy pineapple smell. This that scent where when you want to stand completely out from the rest.. you use and know no body else gone smell anything like you.
Been doing this for years .One of the best scents to layer it with is Bannana republic linen vetiver can be layered with any citrus fresh scent the BOMB"
I rarely wear a single fragrance. Sometimes for work, or a family hangout. But 9 out of 10 times I’m wearing at least 2. I just always prefer at least 2. Even if it’s just a light mist of D&G Light Blue as a light and mild citrus and musk base out of the shower and then something more unique on top when I’m dressed. But I’m always mixing
YSL La Nuit blended with Midnight in Paris edt. Sweet and balmy. I have two bottles of MIP testers back when they were cheap as chips. I'll try Hawas and Ultime. I liked Hawas so much I picked up a back up bottle.
Holy moly you guys killed it on this one! Trying most of these combos for the first time its really something awesome, think br540 and Aventus or my clones of them (😁) smell amazing layered
@@MGBlast666 possibly down the line. I was debating about doing something different on like patreon but not sure what I would do yet to make that different.
Which are the best pulse points when winter layering with fragrances in separate locations of the body? (Since there is less skin exposed;) Should you apply the stronger scent behind the neck and the less dense fragrance behind the ears/side of neck?! Thank You!
Pulse points aren’t really necessary at the end of the day. Generally that’s a marketing thing from stores. Layer on top of each other. You can mix skin and clothes when layering especially if you are bundled up :) For example I would mix in neck, shoulders and wrists
Excellent video and great concept to have people jump into with their own concepts. I always wondered if molecule 01 was not the only base layer fragrance out there. This sits perfect for me cause I have The one EDP, great frag but weak on proyection. Now all I gotta do is get that Rasasi which itself is similar to Invictus Aqua 2016 and bang.....The One on roids! Thanks for the video.
Wooow thank you you blew my mind!!!!!! That is awesome definitely I will buy ultra, so I can try ULTRA SAUVAGE!!!!! . Awesome video you just opened a hole new universe of possibilities, Please Please if you could make more videos like these with the girls and trying your combinations and maybe theirs it will be awesome. These concepto is quite unique and I would love to see more from you THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Wow you guys must be reading my mind, i was thinking about asking jeff about some laying combinations the next time he go live, i need to find a layer that goes good with eros or Chanel bleu edp as well
It's Not crazy to admit, I like to layer Layton with Layton exclusif. Because it smells deeper and richer but stays friendly (because of the original Layton )
I got one for ya.. I’ve done it a few time and woman always ask what I have on cause it smells so different.. Try Versace Dylan Blue n Versace Man Eau Fraîche.. don’t know why but it works. Especially in the heat.. a must try
This is a secret but I’ll share it. Y’all be thanking me later. Summer time Dior savage with Dior homme cologne. I usually mix the fragrance I’ll decant 3 ml of sauvage & 2 ml of Dior homme cologne. I also use Dior homme cologne with aventus. During winter my go to oud wood with with Herod by pdm. Also original Armani code with ch men prive.
wow, what a cool video ! didn't know you could layer....Sauvage is major fierce fragrance....needs to be toned a bit..at least for me....great video ! thank you !
@@SoCalScents The Y is still definitely stronger so you could probably go 2:1 with Sauvage compared to Y and that would be really nice also. Going to try Y EDP with Coach Platinum tomorrow & see how that is as well!
MY FAV GAULTIER ITS ESSENCE... I MIX IT WITH LE BEAU.... I MIX DIOR HOMME WITH NOIR EXTREME TOM FORD... I'LL TRY ESSENCE/SAUVAGE PARFUM AFTER THIS VIDEO...😊😊😊
I feel like Ultra Male's clone - Zara Gourmand Leather smells exactly the same, except Zara is more interesting, and performs better in first hour or two, when ultra male stays longer with good projection - zara just disappears. I have both in 10ml decants, and always combo it with my 100ml Carbon bottle. 2-3 sprays of ultra male, 2-3 of zara gourmand leather, 4 of carbon and im good to go. Btw best combo is Luke+Jeff.
Hey boys and girls, i was wondering about layering d&g the one edp + ambroxan to make it last longer and project more .. what do you guys think? Should i use iso e super instead?
The only way to tell is to test it out. Ambroxen will change how the fragrance is completely. We aren’t super big on The One edp in general, but the only way to know for sure is to try the combo.
What happens if i would mix ultra male and sauvage in a bottle will that work that good as well ? The combo sounds very awesome cant wait to try thanks for your awesome channel
Hmmm may have to try Ultra Carbon. Sounds like a tough guy fragrance haha. Thing is I sprayed Carbon in the store at once and I did not like it. Considering giving it another shot
We like 1:1 ratio. Do like 20-30 seconds between sprays. But honestly it doesn’t matter much. We’ve also tried 2:1 ratio both ways and it smells good as well, just brings out one fragrance stronger than the other.
Great ones whenever I’ve worn Sauvage & Ultramale, and Lacoste L’homme Intense & Ultime. I wear those ones the most so I get the more interaction with them. I’ve received good ones from the others, I just don’t use as often
Nice change up, a little different today! I would think if you could layer Sauvage and ultramale, you could layer sauvage and unisex since they smell relatively similar to me.
I just got into collecting fragrances a few month’s ago and this is what I currently have in my collection. If anyone has any combo recommendations that I should try with these lmk. YSL Y EDP Viktor and Rolf Spice Bomb Extreme Acqua Di Gio Profumo Bleu de Chanel Ultra Male Bentley for Men Intense Prada L'homme Dolce & Gabbana Light Blue Intense Club de Nuit Intense Versace Eros Lacoste la Blanc Burberry London Banana Republic Neroli Woods
