Thank you for including the mm size of needles along with your US sizing. It speaks to your character. You make ius all feel included in your podcast because of that.
I live in Alabama too and love your positive attitude and hashtag fashionoverfifty. Would you mind sharing yarn shops you like and where you mail order your yarn from? Thank you for creating such enjoyable podcasts!
I loved it! Could you mind making a tutorial about binding off with twisted rib. As I see other knitters it stays twisted in the bottom and yours is perfect❤
Congratulations on win. I'm from Georgia so of course I have to root for my home team. Your makes are so beautiful. Hope that you have a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.❤🎆
Your gorgeous blanket might be an heirloom piece to you, but the number of hand knit or hand crocheted blankets that I have rescued from auction sales is staggering. And I say rescued, because I paid $1 or sometimes $2 for several (4 or 5) in a lot, many times, because if I hadn't, tno one would have bid on them and they would have gone to the dump. Either that, or to the kennels for dog blankets. The handknit items we make are really just appreciated by us and a rare few others who are knit worthy. The same goes for quilts.
I crochet my blankets because I enjoy making them. My daughters have specifically asked for some of them, in particular colours. Most of them I make just for making’s sake - when I have finished them, their main purpose is done. Once I am no longer here, it won’t matter to me what happens to them.
I just found your podcast. I really enjoyed it. I received my first Row One yesterday and I was thinking about the Comfort Cozy Blanket. Yours is so beautiful. Thank you for the inspiration. Looking forward to future podcasts.
This video was so full of wonderful patterns…two that I definitely want to make. Thank you so much for sharing all your beautiful projects and listing all the patterns so we can find them. Happy Holidays. Until next time, hugs 🤗❤️🙋 Sue
Thank you for talking about the patterns you have knitted. We know that not everyone is a good pattern designer and that they may have mistakes or need modifications. Why let people get discouraged by a bad pattern. Merry Christmas ❤
Thank you for your podcasts Bobbi. I just love your color and project choices, and seeing what you are up to in the knitting world. Also, thank you for highlighting your advent that you and your friend exchanged. Not everyone who knits can afford an advent, as they can be quite pricey. We all have leftover yarn from projects that another knitter would love to use. So thank you for that idea for those that can still partake without the high cost. Also, it’s a nice way to customize the advent to that special friend. 😀 Happy Holidays
Thank you for another joyful podcast! I’m not a knitter (I crochet) but your enthusiasm for knitting is so infectious and I just love your positive personality. I also love your familiar Midwest accent. ❤
I am so happy that I found this episode, not only do I love the items you make but I also love that you include yarns from the bigger companies. I have a lot of that yarn in my stash and this has renewed my appreciation for the tried and true yarns. My favorite is KnitPix, Wool of the Andes. I am definitely going to make the Sweet Shop Blanket with the Cascade Heritage and my minis. Great idea!
I love your channel. I get so happy when I get the notification that a new one is up. Beautiful intro. Love the sweater and the shrug. Stay well Bobbi. ❤🧶
Thank you for all those pattern ideas! Went right over and purchased the Sweet Shop blanket pattern…of course with no date for completion😀 I hope Rebecca does the Advent Swap again…I will surely join!! I always get FOMO at this time of the year..but thankfully..less and less! Joyful Christmas season to you Bobbi!! 💕
Hello Bobbi from England, new subscriber here! I love the shrug and my word it looks fabulous as a big cowl! I’m a Malabrigo Rios fan too, I knit my Nightshift Shawl in it, wonderfully soft and lovely to knit with. (I wish they would skein up a bit better though!) I’m so pleased you are doing the Sweet Shop blanket! I’m a fan of Laura’s and she actually visited the yarn shop where we hold our knit and natters while she was on Holoday on the Norfolk coast. I’ve just finished the baby version, it’s 16 squares plus a n I-cord border. Our great granddaughter was due on Christmas Day but she has arrived 3 weeks early so I was steaming a bit through the last couple of squares! It’s blocking at the moment , to be parcelled off and sent to her, a bit too far to visit just now, but we have lots of photos and hope to have them here soon. Loving your podcast,w I’ll be delving back to read older posts! Have a lovely advent!
Hello! Lynne! What a lovely comment! After completing 4 of the squares of the Sweet Shop Blanket, it took me a bit to figure out how to proceed. I will start the 5th square today. Part of the fun is choosing the colors for each square. Thank you so much for watching, commenting and subscribing Lynne! Merry Christmas! 😊❤
I actually love the Italian/sewn bindoff. I’m a tight knitter so most bindoff are harder for me to lift a stitch over another. It’s much easier for me to use a tapestry needle and I love the look.
Hello! Oh my! Yes, I do plan on giving everyone a peek of my knitting loft. Probably sometime in 2024. I will need to do some sorting and organizing first. Lol! Thank you so much for watching and taking the time to comment. Happy Holidays! 🎄❤️
Thank you Bobbi for another inspirational knitting podcast! That new Tif Neilan pattern is so gorgeous and fits you so well. When knitting that sweater with the Malabrigo, did you have to alternate skeins?
Yes, I held 1, 10g mini double. The pattern says 1, 10g mini will make 1 triangle, half of each square. Make sure you don’t leave your ends more than 4 inches or you might run short. I tested my the first triangle and it worked. If your gauge is loose, you can cast on fewer stitches. The pattern tells you how to adjust the stitch count if needed. 😊❤️
Hi Linda, I was a little bemused by the instruction , so in the end I used DK yarn. Actually as it was for a baby I used acrylic, so it could be popped into the washing machine. If I was using 4-ply held double, I’d do a swatch. - yes really!!!!🤣 and weigh how much yarn I’d used to make sure my gauge made it possible to use only 10 gm for each triangle though really only 5gm. in terms of yarn length when held double. Does that sound gobbledegook? Hope it helps.
New Subscriber and fellow Vlogmas-er! I really enjoy your podcast, I think we may have test knit together before you look very familiar... Happy Vlogmas!
Oh my gosh Kimberly! I know exactly who you are! I love your podcast! I’m watching your Vlogmas right now! Your podcast is so positive and joyful. Happy Vlogmas dear Kimberly! 🎄❤️
