@@MrMeowMeow-to3qc Mostly I think a big difference is Chuck E Cheese is more cartoonish with their voices and Showbizpizza is more towards being alot more casual; Mostly due to Chuck E Cheese being for kids, and Showbizpizza being aimed for a more mature audience.
The banter was genuinely SO damn charming, there's something so real about how loosely scripted it was. Just amazing voice acting in play. It really feels like a band goofing around.
7:35 those 3 words Fatz said are something I would've never expected to hear from a band of animals playing music in front of kids... but the shock value is just amazing 🤣
I loved this! I remember exactly where we were for every one of these clips and how they were done. There's a lot of unplanned dialog here, but the one most unplanned thing that we ever did was that Looney Bird performance of Ave Maria. We were gathered around microphones in my kitchen, singing and talking our parts for the Christmas show live. I wasn't actually supposed to sing Ave Maria for Looney Bird. I had no idea that was going to happen. No one did. The skit was supposed to go a different way because Looney was to refuse to sing. When Sal and Shalisa and Rick started taunting me (Looney Bird) and changed the skit on the fly introducing Looney's Mama, Looney's excuse as to why he would not sing the song was rendered invalid, and I had no choice but to let it rip. I was scared to death because I had never tried to sing that short piece in Looney's voice and didn't know how to do it. You can hear my insecurity in the performance. It's like being thrown in the water and told to swim! It wouldn't have been "manly" for me to refuse to do it after all the urging. And when it was over, I was like, "Hey! You weren't suppose to make me sing that!" It was Sal's fault for coming up with Looney's Mama's voice on the spot, ruining Looney's excuse for passing on the performance. I was so insecure with the outcome of the piece, I considered redoing it, but Shalisa made me feel better, telling me "I thought it was cute!"
Thesse have so much personality and really contrasts how corporate the show tapes made by the folks that managed chuck e cheese made, which they also had a case where it lost it's personality as years passed by
One of the things that makes show biz better than chuck e cheese is that the dialogue sounded natural and improvised while chuck e cheeses shows sound scripted with no improvisation or jokes
Connection Terminated. I'm sorry to interrupt you Elizabeth, if you still even remember that name. But I'm afraid you've been misinformed. You are not here to receive a gift, nor have you been called here by the individual you assume. Although you have indeed been called. You have all been called here. Into a labyrinth of sounds and smells, misdirection and misfortune. A labyrinth with no exit, a maze with no prize. You don't even realize that you are trapped. Your lust for blood has driven you in endless circles, chasing the cries of children in some unseen chamber, always seeming so near, yet somehow out of reach. So on and so forth
