Bardstown Discussion “try before you buy”: we, the general consumer are not going to find Bardstown anywhere to try it before we buy it…that’s not an option and at $160 you have to be selective in what you purchase. My monthly budget is $500 for new whiskey, that’s in-store and on Seelbach’s.
The future growth of whiskey IS Craft Distilling and influencers like yourself. The kicker is not everything can be great…I rarely see a whiskey rating below a 6, but I have 30+ bottles that’s are and aren’t all allocated. We buy the craft/rare distilled stuff to fill the void of waiting for allocated stuff we can’t find…and every home stater is affected differently (I am an Oregonian).
We are headed for another “whisky loch.” The amount of whisky/whiskey aging is mind boggling. 5 years from now, some good aged stuff will start to appear at better prices.
Did you get a bottle of Cam’s Dark Arts pick? I actually like it better than the BJ pick. And yeah, that 9 year Backbone pick is so damn good, Matt never misses
