Favourite DK Yarn Comparison: Stylecraft, Paintbox, Cygnet & Scheepjes 

I was gifted an afghan made from Color Crafter and not only is it soft but super pretty colors too.

I discovered Colour Crafter and I love working with this yarn!

I absolutely LOVE the Scheepjes!! Super super soft, I've also used Cygnet. Haven't used the other ones but would love to give the Paintbox a go. Hope you and the rest of the Blossom family are safe and well!

I usually use Stylecraft and sometimes Cygnet. I will try your other recommendations. It's good to broaden your horizons ☺️

Thank you so much for you video and your honest review! I am an advanced beginner to crochet and just about to spend quite a lot of money for yarn but was unsure which brand to choose. I have worked with Cygnet and I like how it feel; I definitely did not like Hayfield Bonus DK extra value as it felt very fake and plastic. For my DK projects I will definitely buy Scheepjes, as you recommended :) For the rest I will try Stylecraft and see how it goes! Thanks again

Thanks so much for the new channel...I love the original and your beautiful projects and tutorials...great idea to separate the subjects though...especially like the idea of color combo reviews...some unusual ones are wonderful and some come off not as striking, but as garish..I know beauties in the rye of......lol....but some are are over the top..lol....love the Clementine color....I am sure this channel will be a winner also...🎉🎉

I will have to try the sheepjes and paintbox... I'm only starting out so I went with stylecraft (it was easy to get hold of and the colour range is so broad) but I have been working with some self-striping hayfield breeze, it's 4mm DK but just feels thicker and better quality than the stylecraft. I want that feel every time, even if it is a little more expensive 😄

Great new channel. Where are the yarns made please? I love working with acrylic yarn. ⭐️🇦🇺

I've only been crocheting about two years and my go-to yarn has been PaintBox Simply DK. I've accumulated quite a few of the colors that I use for making amigurumi for my grandsons. I've made the Marvel cartoon characters, Charlie Brown, Snoopy, etc. The problem with PaintBox is that the supplier I use is frequently out of stock on the more basic colors. Right now, I can't get a dark brown to finish a project. I'm wondering if I could substitute a Stylecraft DK in the project?

I would love your comments about anti-pilling yarns.

If u compare it to length of yarn per skin u would get a different prize top!

Thank you for this! What do you think about the Scheepjes Softfun yarn? It's also DK. 40% Acrylic & 60% Cotton. I want to use it for a crocheted shirt but I'm not sure if it will split during wash and what not.

What is the weight for the style craft dk? I'm in the US and unfamiliar

I was stylecraft when I started but now scheepjes all the way I find the quality of stylecraft has gone downhill of late ty for the reviews not tried cygnet yet xx

I absolutely loved S. Colour Crafter, until it pilled terribly. So disappointing. They do now have an anti-pill, not liking the feel of it.
