Welcome to The Scale Modelling Cafe. This is the continuation of My Favourite kits series, and this episode is slightly different in that all my Arma kits are in my favourites list!
Spectacular work Jamie, Arma is definitely a company to look at when purchasing new kits, so many really good kits nowadays kind of a CAD designed renascence
Hi Jamie excellent video as always,i think Arma kits as no1 is not far from the truth, but i think Eduard has a good chance of the no1 position both of these in 1/72 scale, larger scales is a different story for both of them, love the video’s you put out keep it up,well done mate.
Great collection. I bought my first Arma kit a few years ago from a vendor at RIAT. At the time no one probably knew about them. I built the kit immediately Post RIAT and was blown away by the finesse of the kit. Just recently got the 1/48 Hurricane too.
G’Day Jamie. Did the Hurricane and Wildcat builds make it into video ? I’m not seeing them and am wondering if YT is messing with me. Of course it could be all the reason you need to go out and buy a pair and see the detailing for yourself. Also looks like you need a red “on air” light for your man cave door.
Haven't built Arma Hobby yet but somehow I've accumulated a Wildcat, Ki-84, Eduard's Hurristory boxing which has two kits and Arma's own Mk II Dieppe boxing with two kits so plenty to wet my appetite. Your love of riveting is well documented but it poses a question. Do you find the kits look better with the extra riveting you provide and therefore tolerate the tedious process of adding the extra detail or is it a process you personally find therapeutic? Personally I can take or leave the extra rivets, I have tried and it's a process I'm very poor at. While I appreciate the extra work and skill others put in I'm definitely not a fan of rivet counting and hate watching someone's efforts being pulled apart by some anorak with a pair of calipers and a rivet chart. Wonder if I might be over thinking this Thoughts?
Stupid question no.101, do you take your builds back from Saudi in your luggage or do you ship them. If its the former do you have problems at the airport?
