I still own it. Watched it about 10 days ago all the way through. It's about 6 hours in total length. I can binge it in a single sitting whilst playing a video game on the other monitor. Which I like to do with Fawlty Towers maybe twice a year.
After watching other videos from this uploader, I suggest you check the authenticity of everything he has to say. Sometimes the "dead" people are not even dead, and he thinks that The Vicar of Dibley was set not in Dibley but (and I quote) "...the fictitious village of Oxfordshire" Qué?
Great video. I watched Faulty Towers on PBS on and off for many years. I now have the complete series on box set which makes it easy to have a good laugh at anytime. The one thing in the show that always made me laugh uncontrollably was the way Sybil was always on the phone constantly saying "oh I know" over and over again...and the letters on the sign at the start of the show always being rearranged to say different things, sometimes a little nasty...brilliant.
Prunella Scales will always be best known, at least by me, as Miss Elizabeth Mapp in the 1986 production of Mapp & Lucia. Such a wonderful performance.
Unfortunately, these stories are also frequently incorrect. After watching other videos from this uploader, I suggest you check the authenticity of everything he has to say. My favourite character from the show... Being as You asked.. Would have to be the main character Basil Fawlty.. Followed by Manwell.. The major.. Polly and then Sybil.. But they were all good.. It was a brilliant show.. Excellent scriptwriting
Ummm Connie Booth is still alive . Connie Booth (born 2 December 1940[1][a]) is an American actress and writer. She has appeared in several British television programmes and films, including her role as Polly Sherman on BBC Two's Fawlty Towers, which she co-wrote with her then-husband John Cleese. In 1995 she quit acting and worked as a psychotherapist until her retirement.
Hilarious show (and rest in peace to the actors/actresses)...but boy, do I hate this horrible see-sawing pseudo-journalist-style VO on this vid. Just read it in a normal voice, fer cryin' out loud...
