As a little Japanese kid, The Three Degrees were the first female Afro-American entertainers to see. I was very impressed and adored their singing and their beautiful looks . They were the best known and popular black women in Japan at that time . Thank you Ms Pinkney for great entertainment. you did a great job spreading good images all over the world!

Listen to how many times she mentions God here. A true believer, great example to young people, and I am sure she is with the Lord now.

People can be kind and decent without having to mention God! Young people can make up their own minds and not have to hear about God from men and women to influence them everyday! Modern man has been around for 50,000 years so why have we only been told about the christian God for the last 2,000 years..!! Forced on people too in many countries and colonies, all to suit the the elite and powerful.

Being a long time fan of THE THREE DEGREES, i will cherish what they accomplished as 3 black perfomers, there style, there beauty and there well mannered polished stage presents on or off stage. RIH Fayette I'm glad she was honored one last time before she went home to glory but I do wish she reunited with the group one last time though her soaring angelic soprano was such a intergal part in the groups harmonies and she could sing her face off you are missed Ms. Fayette

So sad she died, beautiful lady, member of the legendary Three Degrees, she should have never left the group just like Sheila Ferguson, my no.1 favorite. You could say Fayette is my 2nd favorite. The day of her passing was a sad day.

Fayette didn’t leave the group. She got fired because their manager at the time didn’t like her dating Lou Rawls. So he gave her an ultimatum and told her to choose between him and the group. She chose him, but they shortly separated after that.

No one & nothing " lasts forever"; songs bring back & keep memories alive of " lost loves" & " special times together". Like " when I was 17" by Frank Sinatra( reminds me of my parents & family living together in " harmony" in suburban East Meadow, B4 the winds of change took all away forever. " Words"(BEE GEES) & " THEY WAY WE WERE"(B.STREISSAND) r " ALL I HAVE TO SAY, TO TAKE UR HEART AWAY"; SO" "WE WILL REMEMBER THE WAY WE WERE".

What a beautiful woman, and what a beautiful spirit she conveyed, I fell in love with her when The Three Degrees appeared on the 70's sitcom, "Sanford & Son", and sang to Fred Sanford, lol, he tickled her so much. May the "Most High" allow you and your baby girl, Ayana Alexandria, to R.I.P. together always, Ms. Fayette Pinkney...

This is the quality, talent, respectful and classy performer you get when we follow Judeo-Christian values and morals people. Fayette and the rest of the Three Degrees are/were cultured and educated Blacks. Blacks in the 1970's were much different than today. It seems that the progressive liberal democrats have suppressed Black advancement and took it down to lower and lower levels to where now we have nothing but blight and dysfunction. So very sad : ( RIP Fayette you were a Blessing to all!

'The Three degrees'..the first album I bought....I was a 10 year old oddball kid living in central Louisiana in late 1974....I heard this glorious song on the radio, 'When will I see you again'..the arrangement, the harmonies..so beautiful! I listened closely for the name of the group, saved my allowance for a month, then went and bought the album for $4.99 at JC Penny's! It was the best 5 bucks I ever spent!! RIP, Fayette, and to the surviving Degrees....Sheila, Helen, Freddie(yes, you are a DEGREE!!) and the heart of the group...VALERIE!!! Job Well DONE!!!!
