I was hitting paper with the singer sight at 670 yards with this bad boy. It's one hell of an accurate rifle. Love this gun, also the beach wood isn't ugly! It's beautiful!

Possibly the best bolt action battle rifle of all time… up there with the MAS-36. Thanks for sharing

Agreed. I miss my MAS-36, BTW.

@@SuburbanRifleman Might throw the K-31 on the list too but Idk how it would hold up to combat conditions… I miss my MAS-36 too.. along with dozens of my other milsurp firearms. (formerly "my") 😢

@@guaporeturns9472 the K31 is another one I miss, and my Finnish M39, and my Swedish M96, and my Chilean 1895 Mauser carbine. The list goes on and on. But I can’t keep everything I guess.

@@SuburbanRifleman I had a few earlier autos…Garands , Hakim , Rashid , MAS-49 , G-43 , SVT , tons of SKSs , M-1 Carbines(still have one) , plus a bunch of bolt milsurp. Oh well , I enjoyed them while I had em

@@guaporeturns9472 You certainly can't keep everything. Suburban Rifleman can tell you that I had well over a hundred guns for years. When I was in my Garand mode my high watermark was 26 including a gas trap that I put together from pieces searched out over a couple of years. Did the same thing with 6-40 gas port. I had a lot of fun with them but somebody else is having fun with them now. That's fine.

Fun fact, they've used enfields for over 4 and a half decades after the war. The sniper rifles, which were made from the most accurate number 4s [MK I T and MK I *T] were used extensively for sniping roles. And when the time came to phase in 7.62 nato to replace .303 british they replaced the barrels and chamber and reworked the magazines for the caliber conversions. These rifles were the L42A1. Similar designations were given to converted enfield sniper rifles of other designations. These rifles were in service until the early 90s. So yeah these rifles have had an EXTENSIVE service history.

Brilliant video. Very informative. Liked and sub’d. I have one of these, no4 Mk2 in beech, an early one made in 1949 in unissued condition. Great sentimental value to me and as a Brit it is the last rifle I would ever let go. It’s my lifetime rifle.

Beautiful, epic rifle! Looks way better up close! What a treasure For some reason, I always picture a skinny Brit posing with one of these in North Africa? Iconic weapon. Btw, I’m pretty sure you hit steel on all shots you d#%f bastard 😂

I'm a sucker for a beautiful battle rifle. I may thin the herd a bit, but that Enfield is one I don't think I'll part with. Great video!

" 'tis a soft day, indeed." getting pretty much the same here in Greene today, (with flood watch issued) with odd periods of snow expected later on.

Been a weird spring. I imagine ice is still on the ponds up your way? Won’t be headed up to camp for another month or so.

@@SuburbanRifleman from what I've seen on the news, the lake and pond ice hereabouts in south-central Maine is very iffy.
