Not picking up unknown calls is a real issue in Arizona. When you are waiting for a MD or other medical provider to call back it’s RARE that will call you from a number that says their name or the provider’s office name. It’s usually “blocked” or even some name idk. If I wish to speak to my provider I HAVE to answer. I do NOT give out personal info if I don’t know who I am speaking to. If people have an elderly parent, or a family member who has cognitive issues, it’s a good idea for someone else to handle this for them imho? I’ve been waiting for medical providers to call me for a phone appointment or other things, and scammers have called. I hang up on them. Someone with cognitive issues might just start speaking to them.
This scam isn't new in any way. It has been around for over a decade. There are plenty of "Scam the Scammer" channels on RU-vid that show this scam. Side note: the FBI guy mispronounces "India" when asked about the country of origin.
If its the Russians doing this and they can not get through to you ? They can always call a friend that came here illegally and have them ring your door bell ?
