Take a behind-the-scenes look at a unique, multi-family project with FBM and ADCO Drywall on the largest mass-timber build on the West Coast. Located in the city of Oakland, CA, this project features 19 stories and 200 affordable-housing units, with the buildings internal structure being made of prefabricated wood columns and floors. This new and alternative type of build offers cost and time savings when compared to conventional concrete and steel construction as well as sustainability benefits resulting from the absence of these traditional components. FBM and ADCO worked closely together on the interior construction portion with FBM professionally handling the delivery, stocking, scattering of wallboard and steel studs while ADCO managed the steel framing and drywall installation with ease.
