Tēnā koutou katoa e te whānau o Flat Bush school.
Nau mai ki te wiki hou, ko te wiki o te reo Māori ko te tumanako i tēnei wiki e whakakaha ana mātou i te kōrero me te ako rānei mena he iti tō reo he pounamu.
Anei te whakataukī mō te whakatenatena koutou:
"Tōku reo, tōku ohooho, tōku reo, tōku māpihi maurea, tōku reo, tōku whakakai marihi!"
Kia kaha, kia māia, kia manawa nui.
Tīhei mauri ora!

Welcome to a new week, it's Māori language week and I hope this week we strengthen our Maori conversation and learnings, even a small amount is a treasure, let this Māori proverb encourage you:
"My language is my āwakeing, my language is the window tō my soul, my language is my prized possesion".
Be strong, be brave, be patient.
