This is also how I play. And I tell you this simple way of playing is the difference between a rank 4 player and a rank 2 player, you hold the ball and create space and open passing chances like this, as well as the complete frustration your opponent has because they can’t get the ball leads which leads them to over commit, and then to greater success in your game.😊

I came back to thank you for these tactics after testing them out. I'm a relatively new player (3rd year of FUT) who maxed out at Div 2 last year. I got to Div 4 this year. Then, all of a sudden, I couldn't get out of Div 6. I was really considering quitting, but I knew there was something off in my buildup. Things from previous FIFAs weren't working. When I saw your video it immediately clicked that the players who most definitively dominated me had used the tactic you recommend in your video. The thing about this possession-based approach is that your defense also plays better, even if it's just because they have to defend less and defend in much more favorable conditions on the pitch. Nice video but it doesn't work. I play on World Class Div 8 and every game i play the opponent has 4 defenders on me who are faster than Usain Bolt and stronger than Thor. There is no 'away' angle and even if i win the ball it ends up back with them 2 seconds later.

I was on an 6 game losing streak on champs. Tried this out, instantly my whole offense became better. I didn't feel anxious having the ball ,I had so much time to think, and overall one of the most relaxing game of champs i ever played. Thank u for this guide.

This is a wonderful video, I just need to keep my composure at high speed gameplay in the final third, I really hope I will get more adjusted to this gradually, and also, the video about keeping composure and not jumping into skill moves and fast 1-2s also helped a lot.

I don’t know what to do, I try doing this and my players forget how to move, I get the ball stolen every single time. There’s no flow nobody is open to pass to, not even L1 helps.

yeah i try to do that and my players turn like tractors even though i have 90 dribbling.

bt i get second man pressed and partial team pressed so even with r1/rb i get no passing chances rank 5 player

please help me, i can't pass in my half, i tried everything i cannot see where is my problems my CDM's CM's are way up and i cant, always losing the f ball what should i change? i have 0 passing options

If the opponent can’t take the ball away from you, you will lose it in the crucial and final pass because DDA wont let you receive the ball. Your player will just stand there and watch the pass.

I’ve been playing FIFA for decade. This is the worst FIFA ever I should say the worst football game ever.

You taught me this but no longer works because unlike your video where you are only being pressed by one opponent, my players are pressed and surrounded by 2 or 3 opponents and my team are man marked ! Adding to that they just tackle from behind and NO foul awarded. Show us an example of how to get out of that situation.

A lot of times, you say you lose the ball because of a bad pass, and blame yourself. But isn't it also because passing has become so bloody inconsistent in the last couple of versions? A big part of my passes, where it seems to be a fairly simple pass to one of my own players, just ends in my opponents feet. Especially the ground through passes most often just doesn't get through, and ends at my opponent, often without them even doing much to intercept.

That's great in theory but whenever I play online my opponent is super aggressive sliding into me and not giving me the time nor space to compete

No second man press in this game... when the oponent dont make thismecanic is easy keep the ball away, the tough issue is make it with 2 o 3 players preasure.

Somethinf i struggle with is that the ai always do tackles that are unrealistic

Before I even take a touch .. my opponent covers all the space and take possession out of me. I play Div 4 .. I don't know what to do.. I feel my opponent plays with double the speed of what my players are. Helpless 😢

Well everything is nice ,but most depends on conecction ....if gameplay clean yes its easy ,but little delay well ....

Players always go straight for the player so it dosent really work in rivals in square battles and friendlies it does

Thing is with this game is it actually doesn’t always go where you’re pointing, whether it’s passing or dribbling. They don’t have it this year but in instant replay you use to be able to see an arrow where you’re pointing and it would go the wrong way. Game is just aids sometimes

The annoying thing is that pace basicly does nothing this guys defenders have round abt 85 pace and my player Al Owarian has 99 pace and rapid + yet the defender runs infront and yoinks it

If you have a decent understanding of football most of this is self explanatory. Trouble is I'm actually at the point where I don't want tutorials, I just want a better game. Basically, I want physics and vaguely intelligent movement. If I point the passing arrow through the middle of a 5 yard gap, passing to someone 10 yards away, and don't find the gap, that means I've missed the pass by 10 yards ... that is insane!!! And I really don't get it, they've been making this game for 20 years. and it's getting less like football ... and that's the thing, I really want to play football as a video game but this game makes me scream, not because its hard or complicated. It's illogical and incredibly unsatisfying. Contact, momentum and space are becoming less important
