i have a spare hatch i was thinking about using on it as the one on it has a bit of rust but then i remembered it has the special bronze tint that only came on this model. so cool

not sure if you could piece together a complete interior but an engine rebuild and paint could be done between $3-5k

I’m in Reno, BTW. I had no idea the rx8 eshaft was lighter. Drive ability does depend on injectors. I bet you have the rcengineering’s 750cc like I do on my t2. Stock brakes are booshy. No worries. Don’t you have an air fuel ratio gauge? You be rich your whole life but there’s only one chance to go lean. Bypass tein on the 7. There are better, pm me I’m excited to see you bring this to life and breathing fire!!!

@@FacesintheStone thanks man. i'm excited too! i picked up the haltech wideband from nelson at the same time i got the ecu so my hope is that i can run the haltech app on a tablet for all the gauges.

@@jimfitzpatrickstuff right on but a two gauge pillar is made for the left. I have a boost gauge and my afrs in that so I can see it at all times. Those are your bread and butter when it comes to our cars.

I believe I have 1,000cc secondaries. I was making an estimated 300 horsepower to the flywheel with the stock turbo and stock intercooler so you should be fine. just be careful of heat soak.

keep in mind there are other mods you may want to do like upgraded fuel pressure regulator. I would recommend posting questions on the RX7 forums. people on there are super helpful and way more knowledgeable than me

@@jimfitzpatrickstuff Heat soak, you mean the engine will produce more heat because of the extra HP? Or the intercooler is on the small size to cool the incoming air? Yes, thank you for the advice much appreciated. My S5 is original and has also a brand new engine. I like to keep things stock looking. On the forums they say stock FC fuel rails are good for Max 500 HP. 300 HP would be very nice with some little modifications. FC's are 30 years old cars but they are still very fast. Do you have more video's of your RX-7?

the stock intercooler is fine, especially if you have the rubber boot that seals the hood to the intercooler, but you may get heat soak on hotter track days where you are pushing it lap after lap. when you free up the exhaust and intake to achieve the extra horsepower you may be running more boost than stock which can create more heat.

too much lol. it was all gunked up from the last person who had rebuilt it so there was a lot of labor and then the addition of the aviation apex seals, rx8 shaft, and rb flywheel all added up.
