FCs players left their banana skins at home and had a relatively easy passage through to the quarter finals, helped on by an early brace from Jordon Bailey.
The hot-shot opened the scoring on seven minutes, swapping an opening four-goal half-hour salvo, with returned midfielder Beth Hayes.
Bailey nicked her first in off the post before Hayes lobbed the keeper from the edge of the area for a two-goal lead.
The striker rounded the stopper a minute later, with Hayes side-footing in on 26 minutes to settle the red contingent at Broadhurst Park.
Kirsty Chambers fired home the fifth, having taken a perfectly-weighted pass from a quick free-kick from Samantha Ball.
Kirby replied just before the break as Lyndsey Rodgers placed a free-kick just inside the post for a 5-1 half-time scoreline.
With the second half only 49 seconds old, Chambers had again outpaced West's defence and lofted in a curving cross, only for it to sail into the far corner of the nets for FCs sixth.
