For anyone who also gets stuck in the market like Ginge did- click options button and it takes you to transfer targets screen, can then back out and resume as normal from there, saves closing and reloading

To stop people from choosing Pele in goal after guessing a player, a rule could be made that states that the replacement player may not be more expensive than the guessed player. That makes it more of a rule than just 'the bro code', even if most people wouldn't abuse this. This would also allow some expensive replacements, but in a much more controlled way.
