This is the first of 3 videos on the output transformer. This discusses the specifications. I suggest getting a replacement transformer specially wound. It will cost the same as a stock transformer, but it will be closer to the original specifications.

Hi, wonderful insights you gave here. I’m starting to study tube amps and I didn’t know how important transformers are to the sound. Most of the time we hear in general about tubes and capacitors.

Glad it was helpful! And the key component that controls the amp's voicing is the output transformer. Someone asked why my frequency response curves generally stop at 8K Hz, well, it is because the output transformer in most vintage amps are good to 5K Hz and quit at 7.5K Hz.
