The Foundation Chainless Double Crochet (FDC) is a technique used in crochet to create a row of double crochet stitches without having to create a chain beforehand. It’s a great alternative to the traditional foundation chain method, as it creates a more elastic and flexible fabric.

To do the FDC, follow these steps:

Step 1: Chain 3

Step 2: Yarn over, Insert your hook in the third chain from the hk, yarn over and pull up a loop leaving three loops on your hook.

Step 3: Yarn over and draw the yarn through the first loop (creating the base where you are going to be inserting your hook to create the next stitch) yarn over and draw the yarn through the first two loops, yarn over again and draw the yarn through the last two loops on hook.
