Welcome to the next video on “Learning Path to Become Functional consultant” series.
It's been a while since I've posted a video in this series, but I'm back with one that's critical for any functional consultant. If you're aspiring to become a functional consultant, this is a video you don’t want to miss.
Once you've finished the Fit/Gap analysis and entered the design phase of the project, one of the key responsibilities as a functional consultant is to draft a design document.
A well-crafted design document is crucial for delivering a successful solution, as it facilitates efficient development, effective testing, and confidence in stakeholders. Therefore, it's essential for functional consultants to understand how to create a Functional Design Document (FDD) and what components should be included in this document.
To enhance understanding, we can categorize design documents into three main categories:
1. Functional design document (FDD)
2. Report design document (RDD)
3. Integration design document (IDD)
If you're navigating the journey toward becoming a functional consultant, this series can be beneficial, regardless of the specific product you're exploring (be it D365 F&O, CE, BC, or any other ERP).
