Haven't calc'd the chance of death but the hitrates are visible and obviously low.
Eliwood needs to have gained 18 levels on average (24 to be 90% reliable) and recieve both speedwings and the boots to do this.
Hector can potentially die if the Armor Knight he fights on T1 hits and the two mages that attack him on T2 hit and roll up on magic (can probably get rid of this with a Talisman or a Robe)
If Eliwood isn't healthy enough on reaching Kaim to take a single hit I "think" the strat should be to Elixir. But if he can take at least one hit it should be worth attacking due to Kaim's hitrate being quite bad.
