Since we're actively trying to get Kent the bosskill instead of being indiscriminate about who the kill goes to, chipping with Sain into Kent is the cleaner and more reliable way to secure the EXP. The throne room strategy is also changed to make sure Kent is healthy enough not to be at risk of death if units miss. Unfortunately because Kent attacks less, this is about 10% less likely to occur in 4 turns. There is still no chance of death.
The rough calculations for the expected turncount are
80%~ chance for a 4 turn
20%~ chance for a 5 turn
The conditional mean clear turn is 4.2~
The conditional mean reset turn is 0
The reset penalty is 0

Pessimistic Mode is a hack by Doesnt on feuniverse that only allows player character stats to increase if there is a 90% chance of them having increased by the level you have just attained. It is close to 0% growths in reliability but brings stat growths into the equation to reward training units and to help compare units better than by using averages.
