Fear put Mark Wahlberg on the map which eventually led to him inexplicably becoming OSCAR NOMINEE Mark Wahlberg. Which is insane because Mark Wahlberg wasn't even in Texas Chainsaw Massacre 4. So which singers did the best job making the switch to acting and which ones were absolutely terrible?
Madonna's too easy a pick, so we'll go with Britney Spears for worst and her "movie" Crossroads might be a fun review. Not a fun watch, oh heavens no, but a fun review.
Yeah! I was afraid you weren't going to do more of these! Spot on Wahlberg impression btw. I think David must've learned his communication skills from watching Steven Segal's films.
Ahh a new Distracted Nerd video to kick off my Friday... Fear- the movie I saw at 19 and was mystified by how many girls thought Marky Mark was dreamy and just need fixing. Thank God I learned that lesson young
Originally, David's backstory changed the whole vibe of the film. In a supposed early draft of the script, his mother Eve was picked up one night by a frat-boy from the State University. The frat-boy got Eve drunk, then assaulted and abandoned her. Just months later, she was disowned by her family for getting pregnant young. The frat-boy turns out to be Steve (Nicole's dad) thus, David is using his own half-sister (Nicole) as an instrument of revenge against their father for destroying Eve's life. But David genuinely falls in love with Nicole in the process. Later, David's self-inscribed tattoo would have been "nicole 4 EVEr."
I made a conscious decision to not even mention that part. In my version the dog ran to get help and got sidetracked by a discarded ham on the side of the road.
I was hoping a member of Marky Marks gang (who I'm referring to as "the funky bunch") was going to pull some wild card move so we could hear the wild card theme, but honestly I think Toby should have got it for his one kill. Toby is the Wild Card of this family!
Mark Wahlberg commentary is priceless. You know your Wahlberg impression is spot on when he would openly not approve. Andy Samberg is lucky to be alive after airing “Mark Wahlberg Talks to Animals on SNL.
Fear and Primal Fear were released in theatre at the same time. I remember seeing the billboard and wondered if there was some connection to it. I watched them both. They're both psychological thrillers. I prefer Primal Fear.
@@DistractedNerd yes and yes! I can only imagine your take on his ending scene where he practices his lines in the mirror and says “so I’m gonna be nice” 3x for full effect 😂 Oh and his battle with fellow real life musician Stephen Jenkins over control of his “tribute” band that wants to do originals 😜
Good Breakdown Nerd. Your impressions are pretty funny. Also did you know Marky Mark Had a Game on the Sega CD ? it was a FMV Game where People would ask you to make a Music Video for them and you'd select Bits from some Marky Mark and the Funky Bunch Videos and Edit them together then you'd get a Little video of the Reaction to you Video. It really didn't offer much actual Fun but it was unlike anything Id ever seen at that Point so it was impressive to me from a Novelty Prospective.
@@DistractedNerd I don't even Remember how I got it but I wouldn't have Believed it was Real if I hadn't actually played it. I mean Id have thought it was a Meme or something because of just how crazy it sounds.
while the idea of eidetic memory is mostly a myth, there is something called Hyperthymesia or the ability to recall life experiences in abnormally vivid detail. Only 60 people have been identified to have it.
The second video I ever did on this channel was No Holds Barred and WWE Studios had it completely removed from RU-vid. Most Studios just monetize the video and keep it up but Vince McMahon is a freaking psycho
