This and Transworld are two expos that are the gateway to Haunt Season. Glad you tried the Burgoo at Moonlight BBQ. Have an awesome day Jacob!

The difference is Transworld and this are two totally different shows. They cater to two different audiences and this show is severely underattended versus the other conventions. This is more of a fan expo than a trade show. They really cannot be compared in any way shape or form

No flashing subscribe button yet!!! Maybe someday! The Kentucky Kid statue is of Nicky Hayden. He was an amazing US motorcycle racer. He was the best MotoGP racer in the world in 2006. He died way, way too young but he and his family are a great motorcycling family to watch!!

Lived in Owensboro from early childhood until 13 years ago. Moonlite is HIGHLY overrated and definitely not the best in Owensboro. Some other interesting tidbits - celebs from Owensboro - Florence Henderson (Carol Brady) and Captain Jack Sparrow himself, Johnny Depp. His childhood home is still there although it’s not really acknowledged.

Lawrenceburg, KY hosts a burgoo festival every year; this year it’s September 27-29. There’s a burgoo contest so you can taste different people’s recipes!

Growing up in rural Missouri, as long as the burgoo has 3 meats and a variety of vegetables, and is cooked over a flame for a looong period of time, it qualifies. I love that it's different everyplace you have it! Great video as always Jake!

The little ice cream stand right beside Moonlite is great as well. Moonlite is Famous but there are a few better places in town now.

You can go to Mark's Feedstore restaurant and they have it all the time in Middletown or bradstown road in the Highlands. Thanks again for sharing this.

dang you were so close to where I live!! I live in Henderson town next to owensboro .. in it .. Mutton is pretty much made in the 3 counties around here and not elsewhere that I have ever found .. I grew up on mutton and went not to far from here and tried to get mutton and people never heard of it .. Most of the burgoo I have had around here is probably pretty much a different name for Brunswick stew.. it doesnt have bbq or mutton in it but more chicken and beef but everyone has their own recipe.

another adventure Jacob, i enjoyed it & when you grabbed lunch at the restaurant , it seemed you enjoyed the meats [ i tho am not a meat eater, give me my vegetables & cornbread] i love beans, cornbread & onions!! that is a meal in it self.!! i enjoyed the fear expo & was surprised to learn they know the ""carpetbagger"". so on to the next adventure & """ be careful on the road"".

I've been told mutton smells bad when you cook it. Had a friend that loved mutton, but my father would not go near it. Loved seeing all the cool stuff people have come up with, makes one look forward to Halloween. Thank you and be safe out there.
