Genexus is a concept album so I strongly recommend listening to it in its entirety. This song makes even more sense when put in the context of the story the album is telling.
Different drummer on almost each of these: Raymond Herrera (original) on Self Bias & Smasher, Gene Hoglan (the legend) on Powershifter and Mike Heller (current, I think) on Regenerate. Glad you're doing Fear Factory!
Ray Herrera played drums on the first 7 albums (Concrete - Transgression), then there was a major lineup change and Gene Hoglan played on 'Mechanize', only to be replaced by a drum machine for 'The Industrialist". Mike Heller played on 'Genexus'.
I wish more reaction channels would do Fear Factory. They are also hard for a reaction channel because you can’t give them just one shot. Their style changes constantly with every album. You literally have to do a deep dive to fully appreciate them.
Fear Factory is responsible for vast majority of metals sound from the late 90s to current. They are simple from a technical standpoint- but groundbreaking at the time from 1992-98. Nearly every band today will have these guys listed as an influence.

Saw that same show in Dallas. August of 95. Wanna say Flotsam and Jetsam were on the bill too. I immediately went and bought Demanufacture the next day and never looked back.

Just in case you ever come back to Fear Factory; Shock, Archetype and Resurrection are the real deal. Underrated band for sure! Burton, the vocalist, is right in to story telling. Some of their albums are concepts, so the it follows a story start to finish. These guys were the founders of the Industrial Metal genre imo.
I wouldn't say they founded industrial metal, godflesh were around years before. They did however massively influence the groove and nu metal scene from the mid 90's to mid 00's. The vocal style particularly.
My man I've just going through a deep dive through most of your videos. I love your videos and that you do multiple songs from an artist at once and your choices of less obvious songs is fantastic. I'm loving your authenticity and following your music journey. Keep at it. I'm about to go back into your videos and check out some newer for me music and discover new stuff. Loving your reactions man! I'm a massive Fear Factory fan. You keep it real with your intention and your journey. I'm glad you're loving Fear Factory. I'm a drummer and this shit gets me so pumped. It's great when you want to get hyped or hit the gym etc. A few people have said it, but try "Expiration Date". It's a really beautiful tune and is Fear Factory's homage to Blade Runner. It's different too because it's their style, but a ballad - so a slow industrial metal ballad. The lyrics in that are so powerful. I want it played at my funeral. Keep on rocking brother \m/

Great job on reacting to Fear Factory! One thing that seems absent from your reactions is industrial music. I would love for you to react to some Skinny Puppy, tracks like Addiction, Assimilate, Worlock, Tin Omen, they are seminal to the genre. Front Line Assembly is another awesome old school industrial band, Millennium, Neologic Spasm, Mindphaser, Circuitry are all awesome tracks!

Fear Factory is one of my favorite bands... with some great life messages in them. Granted, there are also wacky conspiracy theory songs that make me roll my eyes but they're amazing musicians nonetheless.
The music of Rush and Fear Factory was my favorites of your videos. You have to do more Fear Factory though 😅 They have a new album coming out next month
I love this song! This is from the point of view of an AI (android or a Replicant) who realized his has value and is willing to fight for it. Watch Blade Runner and look at the point of view of a certain character named Roy Batty. Look up another pair of Fear Factory songs in the same album called "Expiration Date" and "Enhanced Reality". They're much slower songs that picks up where "Regenerate" lefts off. These songs touch the subject about being human and mortality in the point of view of an AI.

I usually don’t like watching “reaction” videos as most come across as fake. But thought I would give yours a try as I really enjoy fear factory. I really liked how you really seemed to genuinely enjoy the music. And how you really took on the lyrics and the meanings behind them. I also really liked how you would let it flow without breaking it to much, while still knowing when to stop at the right times. Though if you look at the songs that you have reacted and if you’ve listened to more, you will notice a reoccurring theme or philosophy. Which mostly consists,in some way or other, of man and machine becoming one. This song “regenerate” is off the genexus album. On Spotify they have a commentary compilation of this record by a he singer, giving quite an in-depth breakdown of each song and what it means. You should really check it out if this bands and their lyrics touched you so profoundly as you genuinely seemed to be. As a bass player myself, I would like to recommend a a band to you that is heavily bass driven. But I’m not going to to recommend one of the greats like Primus, or tool, korn, mudvayne and similar bass driven band. As I’m sure if you haven’t done those yet, they willl be requested at some point I imagine. No, instead Im going to recommend something quite obscure. SOFTEN THE GLARE!!!!! It’s a band with the ex bassist of mudvayne that basically a mix of all styles of prog rock, jazz fusion and funk metal. Instrumental only. But each song, the bassist show’s cosmic talent right from the start. Check out their video “March of the cephalopods”, if you want your mind blown 😉
I can't tell you how happy I am to see this reaction. I felt the same way when I discovered this band. They were the opening for Rob Zombie on his Hell-Billie tour back in 98. I was in a down-swing in my life at that time. When I heard Fear Factory and the Obsolete album and the message, it helped me. All their messages on the albums, I felt the same way that you did when you listen to this. Thank you!
Dude thank you for reacting to this band. Have been one of my favorites since Soul Of A New Machine. The album this song is off of Genexus is a concept masterpiece. If you have the chance to listen to the album even in your own time I would highly recommend it 🤘🤘
hopefully it will be not their last album, but few years have passed since Genexus and there are no news of any movements...it would be a real shame of they don't release anything new

The newest Fear Factory album Monolith was actually recorded 6 months after this album, it's been done since 2016, it was supposed to come out in 2017 then got pushed back to 2019 because of legal issues.. Do to Christian Olde Wolbers owning 20 %of Fear Factory and not being in the band anymore and being a jealous little punk Fear Factory can't release the new album under the name Fear Factory.. Doubt many people knows this, but Fear Factory is no longer a band they split-up 6 month's ago, they had to because of Christian Olde Wolbers so Genexus is the final Fear Factory album. The band is going nowhere they will come out with a different name and different name for the new album but it will be out this year. As much as I love MetallicA, Black Sabbath, Megadeth, Slayer,... Fear Factory is my favorite band ever by far. The vocalist Burton, Christopher Bell he actually created screaming and singing together, he owns that shit, the greatest Industrial Metal band ever.
