Their FD really have impressed me. They used the rules in a very smart way, to adapt to their skating, their program and I really think they did very, very good! I’d go further: for me, that was the best FD of the competition, because it was innovative, full of energy and totally different from the more-of-the-same other pairs have been showing this season.
Я наслаждалась не только великолепным прокатом британской пары, но и реакцией их тренеров за бортиком! Мари-Франс и Патрис танцевали вместе со своей парой! Вот это поддержка!
Lewis Gibson must've been been working out a lot as those lifts look completely effortless. Sure, other teams may be stronger in terms of footwork but they present themselves so well. Twizzles, spins, lifts, etc are all technically really strong as well and they have great musicality too.
Que artistas más geniales los británicos ⛸⛸ MARAVILLOSOS!!!!! Es una delicia ver su energía, talento y destreza. Para mí eran oro 🥇 Felicitaciones!!!! geniales artistas del hielo ♥️💙
They spent half the time not even skating. Don’t get me wrong, this is a super fun and well choreographed program but technical wise this doesn’t even compare to 3rd and 4th place
Agreed. Their programs are highly entertaining, but this is ice dance. Doesn’t showcase their lines or techniques. This is a exhibition program at best. Lila is definitely the weaker skater, but even lewis does a lot of bouncing around. I don’t get all the hype with this team, but the Montreal school is definitely try to make them the “next big thing”. My question is “where are their skating skills”????🙄
Sure it’s pretty fun but it is completely undeserving of such scores. It must be frustrating for the teams behind them to see such poor SS and lack of program content rewarded like this. It is damaging to the sport of Ice Dance to have this team placing so highly.
Ice dance needs to be expelled from the Olympics. Not a real sport anymore. This novelty team should not be scoring above around 110 in the free, and that’s being generous
