Nigel Anthony and Prunella Scales were terrific. As soon as I heard her speak I knew it was Sybil Fawlty from Fawlty Towers, and Elizabeth Mapp of Mapp and Lucia.
Well, that was very good. As it got to the end it made me laugh for only last week I was talking to a fellow musician about the cassette era, when a friend would copy you something from a vinyl album, just let it record, and the cassette would finish with a tune midway…. So, whenever you heard that tune on the radio, it was like a countdown to the moment you could almost hear the tune cut out… :) A special mention…. Prunella Scales and Nigel Anthony, wonderful as always.
My word..that was..intense. It sounds a bit wrong, but I loved it!The actors were spot on.. playing their roles to over the top creeptastic perfection!
Who among us hasn't had some special event or occasion ruined by an inconsiderate person (or simply a happening beyond our control) & in the moment at least, wanted to exact revenge? Wouldn't it be fun to replace the coughing woman with a mobile user & air a version as a PSA at the start of your kid's next recital or other similar situation? ;-)
