TMM, when you go for the MC4,2 oki, if they stay on the ground often, just transition the db1+2 into MC3. It’ll hit grounded and flip them over leading to a wave dash mixup
When I was first playing this game and was a lil baby to tekken, I used to think Special style carried people, but then I learned that if you look at special style you can see which option they choose and punish accordingly
Haha I'm the DJ player and just saw the intro at 00:09, let me explain: I actually think special style hellsweep with DJ might be a legit tech. Its still a normal, full launching hellsweep at the press of 2 buttons. I think it can be useful in very frametight situations and I was (and still am) experimenting with it to see if it has actual use in a match or just as a gimmick. Unfortunate to make it into a TMM video where I get my ass whooped though 😅
@@emogaysasuuke The other option is my entire movelist. Its a complete guessing game after a heat engager. The only question is if you can actually react to a Hellsweep with special style or not.
that’s actually an interesting thing to experiment about. because when i do land a heat engager with devil jin, i do wonder this from time to time: “am i doing my crouch dash mixups as fast as i can?” though i find that it kinda depends on the players, some don’t even react to a delayed cd1+2, 1+2….and that move in itself is slow xD
That's why I don't use the laser combos after bound cause they are inconsistent to small characters and to the bears. Even Jack 8 has other combo enders miss hitting him due to his legs having a gap in between.
For dvj down back 1+2 oki, if they sit there or hold back you can cancel into a mourning crow 1, 2 2, or 3 as options to keep em on their toes with the setup.
“What do i do if they dont fall for the set up” you can hold back and stop holding 1+2 to just cancel the move. Its non committal if they dont get up, better to cancel it than whiff and eat a punish. You can also cancel b1 2 by holding back the same way and holding 2 and letting go
@@rurounijay7100 Hearing that just leaves you confused af right? Imagine just IMAGINE, if lets say i as a dj main said to devs that they can keep all the bs nerfs they've done to dj but just change ONE thing for him and that would be to allow us to just cancel 1+2 again. If that were to happen, every mangina would be CRYING he's broken and needs nerfs 💀. No more braindead panic button presses when facing 1+2 and more importantly, no panic rage arts.
I play devil jin now (for almost 2 months) that character is so demanding. Like that trivial ⬅️➡️2️⃣,1️⃣(↘️2️⃣) that you use in every combo is so demanding on execution with the stock PS5 controller. These ⬅️➡️ inputs are hell to me. Maybe on same level as perfect electric in terms of not dropping it mid combo.
Same here. It's a shame when you main him not for his strength but because he's been you're favorite ever since lol. Hopefully they give him a buff soon
@@Fahndungslevel he always been my fav aswell. But since i have always been a couch casual player i never knew how to use him and seems so weak and slow to me. When i boughy tekken 8 and finally took it seriously and played tank and learned him.
Practice makes perfect my friend. I was on the same boat when I started to play seriously and competitively back in t7 and I all I was using was a ds4 controller. I mained all mishimas and only was able to do the staple (bf 2,1) with hei, jin, and dvj after like 4-ish months. And after all the experience, it isn't that hard to do anymore. Just practice brotha, you'll get there
Tekken logic: Kuma is a bear, way larger than the rest of the cast (except maybe Jack), but when he's on the floor, everything whiffs 🤣 should be the other way around, even highs should hit his fat belly when he's down
You can't even really call Devil Jin a tekken 7 style character, because so much of what made him good in T7 has just been stripped out and replaced with some of the shittiest new moves across most characters in the current patch. The only thing that really has been improved is his combo game.
I like how people actually thought namco changed the ranked system to scale based on Prowess, literally first fight for main man in the vid: 199k vs 400k... yeah guys, that's seems like a match made based on prowess???
What does Tekken prowess indicate, and why do i usually get matched up with people with more than me? I'm only 90k and my matches are usually against 150k-220k.
I feel like some high tier scrubs play dirty by pretending to be noobs when showing that assist layout, just to hopefully get their opponent to let their guard down a little 😅
Hey, guys, is it only me or rank became a lot easier lately? I havent played for couple of weeks, retirned to rank and it seems like i am fighting mentaly impared people on ruler ranks 3 days already. When i stopped playing like 3 weeks ago players were stronger.
Only if you spam 50/50s without really learning your matchups. You're gonna yo-yo between br and fuijin for a while though because you gain less and lose more points at blue ranks.
So, we're all in agreement that Special Style is one of the worst additions to this franchise, right? Ever since they threw it in T7, I wasn't sure what they were thinking.
@@TheFaisalano It teaches newcomers bad habits and gives them an inorganic way to "learn" the game. They'll get to higher ranks, get washed, and then give up now that they can't cheese anymore.
