This is the best Chinese movie I have ever seen. Yes, there are Ip Man series, Jackie Chan movies and many more but Fearless by far has the most down to earth story, performance, direction, music, martial art choreography etc. No matter how many times I watch it I never get tired of it. However, I recommend the director's cut featuring Michelle Yeoh. Outstanding and beautiful movie!
Not to mention Jet lee's last kung Fu movie only to end it as if this was a documentary of Kung Fu for Jet Lee. Watch the behind the scenes and you'll really appreciate this movie even more.
One of the hardest things in life is to break through your pride and accept that the other player won. Many people choose to yell and behave as children, humiliating themsevles instead. But the big player accepted that he was defeated by the smaller fighter is the most respectable thing about him 5:07

It's always a great experience seeing who seconds ago was a raging beast of a combatant come to accept that they've lost, and choose to end the fight with honor and respect for their opponent whom they admit defeat to. Feels like such a deeply primal feel-good moment.
As a Chinese, I can clearly say that the most important thing in martial arts thinking is morality and peace. Just like Jet Li's Huo Yuanjia, I can defeat you, but I did not humiliate you, let alone be proud of it. , instead give you full respect. The central idea of martial arts is: if you have the power to defeat everyone, but you don't use this power to act recklessly, but respect everyone, give them help and understanding, then you are truly powerful.
FEARLESS was an excellent movie! I absolutely loved it, so glad Jet Lee took the role depicting Hao Yuanjia, even if there was a bit of creative lease... It still carried a valuable true regarding the time period and humans really are individually their own worst enemies... till each chooses to pull ones head out and works the bigger picture.
this is not even close to one of the best fights lol very unrealistic and somethings didn’t make sense like when he flipped him it showed a dodge and stuff
Tô sem palavras Ele só pode ser um mestre do kung fu eu amei esse vídeo Esse vídeo é bom para Carambola Nossa galera isso daqui é bom o vídeo é o máximo🤩🤩🤩🤩
Japanese sources back then made sure the original fight was never published and had said that the fighter/wrestler never fought, but in truth they did. Sifu fok used a series of joint locks from South style martial arts to compensate for wrestling moves, he most likely used Choy lay fut joint locks.
@HKJ Well...yeah. The people behind the film series said they didn't want to tell a documentary of Ip Man's life, and more importantly, didn't want to insult Ip Man's descendants, who were involved with the films.
Do you have a source? Because I’m 99% certain you’re just repeating what some sifu told you. This fight never happened, and it’s not just Japanese sources that say that.
Whenever I reflect on this movie and him as the person he was. People in mma more so around the ufc have no understanding of what it means to be a martial artist. He said so himself that tournaments would bring people together to better understand where people come from. He'd be disgusted at the what it has become.
If your opponent can not only beat you in a fight, but has enough control of the match to keep you from getting hurt/dying...it's time to concede defeat
This scene subervted two stereotypes at the same time: that the Chines are/were physically weak compared to Western strength, and that Americans/Western cultures are without honor. Yuanjia showed that martial arts and discipline could overcome raw strength, and O'brien showed humility and sportsmanship despite his loss. Truly a win for both sides at the end.
I took a few lessons in Marshal Arts (maybe 3 or 4 times) when I was in my 20's and in the very first bout, I could not help but kick my instructors behind in seconds and the 2nd instructor, it was in part that they made a grave error in their arrogant assessment and underestimating of me, a serious mistake to never make in fighting. I was a seriously (seasoned-in) experienced street fighter and faster than "greased-lightening" and I had that internal-power-force (Berserker) strength second to none! When I was in my 40's I gave lessons to my oldest Son when he was in the 1st grade of elementary school, because a bully was beating him up. I taught self defense and movements, how to strike a hard effective blow, but the very most important part was to teach and pass on to him, was the "Internal- Spirit" that makes a fighter/winner. Without this, it can all just be mental exercise and social status and build a little self confidence. I also had him read "The Art of War" by Sun Tzu. Well my Son came home with a good win and was never bullied again as was expected.

The truth is this fight did not even exist, and Huo was a big and strong man as O’Brien, and real O’Brien run away when he heard of Huo because he was scared.
When I was Kid just like 6 to 15.And Now I'm Turning into 27 yrs Old But this Jet Lee m faerless, Bodyguard,The One is son Nice Everygreen Old But Old Is Gold👍🏻
This is an example of why technique is so important and how even though your facing an opponent literally twice your size, with the proper technique you can dismantle any opponent
@@sonamadik3851 You do know that this is based on a true story right? And yeah, probably the guy was not a big as this one, but it was way bigger than Yuanjia and he was able to beat him.

Any martials is not for fight on purpose..Its for self defense if needed.. The great meaning of martial art.. use it to raise other skills not to take them down ..Just sharing😊
2:25 The fight would of been over in reality and there's no way a little man like that can toss around a guy that size and weight he is also a wwe super star but he died a long time ago he was 6"8 320lbs.
O Net Li mandou bem contra o Natan Jones e no final salvou a vida dele amortecendo a queda pra não acontecer coisa pior similar com o acidente do Dave Baptista numa luta que ele teve anos atrás
