I’ve been going through some tough times at school. I’m which my best friend not only talked crap about me, but twisted my deepest darkest secret behind my back. Someone that has helped me push through it, is definitely Shadow. His character design is AMAZING!! I know how much he went through, and was able to see the light when things were really hard for him. I can totally relate to the girl in the video, I eventually learned to be fearless, just like my favourite character! If it wasn’t for Shadow (and Maria) I wouldn’t have discovered my passions for writing, acting, or the furry fandom. (A place full of fans of anthropomorphic animals, and cosplay as their own/favourite characters!) I have found my people, and my passions thanks to him. This is going to be an epic year! 🖤❤️💛 Who agrees?

Ngl I love the fact that they use Shadow to be the helper for the kid who wants to be in the friend group but is silent about it. Throughout the 2010s and even Prime, Shadow was seen as a hedgehog that hates friends or doesn't feel like he's part of Sonic's gang. Shadow is dark but it doesn't mean he doesn't want to be alone. He's willing to work with others and even cares for his team (Rouge n Omega) if their in danger. Hell in Murder of Sonic, Shadow even tried to get Amy a surprise gift so that he could improve his social status to the gang and basically be a good friend for Amy. When I was in elementary school, I basically was the silent type and been alone throughout 1st through 4th grade. When I played Shadow's campaign n watch Sonic X, I always thought Shadow was cool for not only being a tragic hero and always stand on business, but also a hedgehog who ain't all talkative but still ain't afraid to show that he cares for his friends and appreciates them. Corny but still Shadow has inspired me when I was a kid and he is basically the example of how even silent kids can still have a chance to not be alone in life. Happy that not only we're getting a movie for Shadow but also see Sega/Sonic release this video. Still feels unreal how fans went from 2014 through The Year of Shadow, we went from Shadow is basically Vegeta who only cares about pride n hates friends to now Shadow wants to protect earth for Maria and cares for his gang even if he doesn't want to show it.

This is the first time I see Shadow being cheerful and optimistic. It remembers me Prime Shadow, although Shadow from Sonic Prime is more anxious. I remember how melancholy and insecure he was in the early days, then how he fought to find his place in a world that rejected him. I would happily forget Shadow the edgelord we had for soo long, the one who is Cell Saga Vegeta in disguise.
