Omigod!! I'm happy someone else posted this again, because as much as I adore the OST version...there are just some things I like about the live more. For the feral energy from each starkid really does sell it if I'm being honest! Especially Curt and Jeff (who are clearly going harder than need be! Though that of course is why we appreciate em. :P) Like there are plenty of things that stand out from this particular number... -Like the moment at around 0:41 it's shot so exceptionally!! -Or the moment at 1:25 since shows how Linda and Tom's goals are similar in a way! Something that's definitely overlooked. -And of course with Frank at 1:55 that I must say Corey killed with how exhausted and angry he genuinely sounded during the segment. Definitely shows that Corey should have bigger roles such as this one. :) Black Friday is some of the Team's best work! Can't wait to see what's next for hatchetfield... *(Especially with how great Nightmare Time was! ;>)*

Can’t believe the line “you never should settle for the lifetime that is handed to you, there’s always a line to be cut and someone to barrel through, and if you should find that you’re about to get the short of the stick, take what you want return what you get” is the most scratching criticism of American consumerism of all time and was written by 30 year old theater kids

This is a perfect example of controlled chaos choreography. Despite it being very chaotic everything is still very clear!

This is the most feral song I have ever heard and I love it.

(Sort of spoilers for the acting, because I know some people like to keep the 'magic' of theatre and not know how it all works) I believe, this song is the only one to feature every actor bar Kendall, with What if Tomorrow featuring everyone. Then at some point in the song Robert Manion, James Tolbert and Joey Richter leave. 1:07 is the last time we see Robert, who presumably leaves off a stage-left door (The right side as we see it) 1:52 is the last time we see James, who is then followed by Joey, then at 1:55 we see Joey's back disappearing through a stage-left door (Probably the same door as Robert), it can be assumed Joey is still following James. James also takes the 1st Wiggly doll with him, leaving Corey with the last doll for the running in circle bit, which also lets us see the 3 have gone entirely. I assume this is so the 3 can get changed, into Ethan, the Cinema teen and security guard (I think?) respectively, with Kendall taking the 1st wiggly doll to use as the 'original' doll, which she was given before this song.

I love how absolutely fucking feral they all go, especially Jon and Curt who previously played the straight man

Listening to this again and just thinking about how in the circling choreography part, Jon is actually somewhat distinct from the others. Like, more specifically, he's put in the inner circle with the women rather than in the outer circle, which makes him distinguishable, and also when they all reach up to grab Wiggly in the end, he's in the front and doing grabby fingers and I don't know if that was just coincident and just him moving his fingers about but like. I like to think that it's a fun reference to him being the VA for Wiggly cos his fingers mimic the tendrils lmao

I originally found it weird for the homeless man to be in line, he doesn't really fit in with the others perse. He and Gary are the only ones who don't really have a clear motive to grave the doll, family or greed being the main factors. Now after watching the nightmare stories, thus knowing who he is, it makes a bit more sense. Only Gary is a mystery, but I'm going off on Jon's word that he just wanted to be a part of something here 🤣
