Gotta disagree with you boy. Dept. of Tourism aims to promote the country on a bigger level, and since the country has more than 7,000 islands and of different culture different food etc. It is far beyond their task to showcase things like these youtubers show in their vlogs. It's either you're too disconnected with the department's activities or you just don't want to see what you should be seeing.

Its in our culture, being good mannered, religious and friendly. We have a thing called "bayanihan" and i dont really have a exact translation but if i have to explain it ,it would be to help anybody at anytime and anywhere without needing something return. We act like everybody is family. Even families, i have aunt and uncles that arent even my aunt and uncles but they know me as much as my parents or even more than them if thats possible( ̄▽ ̄)

MA Hu We don't actually know if these are naturally raised, roaming chickens - they could be slaughtered at 3 or 4 weeks instead of the standard 6 weeks.. Western agricultural methods have destroyed farming globally 👎😡 really disgusting and abhorrently cruel
@mayalonde1138
@mayalonde1138 6 лет назад
It is actually very popular in the Philippines, the Native Chicken, and cultivated in many farms. They are far smaller than artificially raised chickens served in fastfoods but they produce more oil and far more delicious especially in paricular dishes (e.g. tinola)

Native chickens or manok Bisaya are raised in many farms in Cebu and the ones I've seen are free roaming. Often raised in backyards where they're free to scratch and peck around. They're smaller compared to other chickens but have a different flavor.

that Native Chicken is free range and farm bred they are not grown in poultry farms and fed with a lot of feeds that's why it is so delicious and the Tinoom with that chicken broth, the broth came from the chicken Juices they just put a little bit of water for steam wrap it tight with banana leaves, steam it and the juices of the chicken goes out and mixes inside creating that delicious broth and they did not added any flavor enhancers to it just plain salt, tomato, lemon grass, onion and ginger

Hi Mike... I would just like to say, If the chicken that you ate in Cebu is the best. Then why won`t you try to come into my island (Negros) just 1hr away from Cebu Island via Toledo City - San Carlos City by ferry. Coz, the best chicken in the whole philippines in only in Negros. It's called "CHICKEN INASAL" one of our island`s pride dishes as well as ESTOFADO and LINA-GA (pork/beef sour soup). For there`s one fruit in the philippines that can only be found here and take note it only grows here in Negros and that is "BATWAN" not all filipinos know`s about this fruit. It`s only indigenous in our island hope you`ll pass by our island before heading back to Manila. BTW, thanks for all the positive review that you`ve given so far on all filipino dishes that you and your wife (sorry, if i`m mistaken). I really appreciate what your doing and help us filipinos promote our delicacies. Filipino food is one the world`s most unrepresented food in the world. Again, thank you! always been a big fan of your vlog.. :)

I am proud of you, knowing what is calamansi now from the start of your manila journey you only said citrus flavors. now in cebu your mentioning the all arounc citrus we use calamansi.... maybe you should try kinilaw.. (ceviche)... enjoy eating.. :D I don't know if you tried taho, maja blanca, sapin sapin, ibus (ebus), halo halo is pronounce as (hălo hălo) your close, but i was laughing when you said halo halo with a long A sound used in ape.. but good job.. keep up eating.. :D totally support you.

Sugbo Mercado should continue doing this food market maybe branch out to other parts of Cebu City and neighboring cities. Its supporting local entrepreneurs and creating new food products. I bet you found the best place to gorge on different kinds of dishes that's mouth watering from the viewers perspective.
