I really loved this song. I love the smooth transition to 0:15 and the four on the floor beat after the syncopated intro. And the rhythm you chose at the drop at 2:42 is great, it feels so high energy and got me bopping. Also it is good because repeating the four on the floor for a second drop might have caused the song to not have enough variety. I think one thing you could consider changing is, Add this rhythm after 0:48 at the buildup: having a thumpy sound, maybe a bass, that has a syncopated rhythm, maybe like (.75 - .75 - 2.5) where each number is how much of one beat (.75 is 3/4 of a beat). Just as an example you can try something different. Do that instead of having the focus of the rhythm on the snaps at 0:48, since the snaps is too similar to the four on the floor on the previous verse (snaps is just playing 2 and 4). For me it can get a bit tiring to hear an unsyncopated rhythm for too long (the verse already had a four on the floor for 16 bars, so a focus on a 2 and 4 rhythm is gonna cause listening fatigue for me). Im curious to know your thoughts, agree? disagree? I am trying to figure out this whole edm production thing myself so any feedback is appreciated.
