yk its rough when some comments are insulting the dullness by calling you a dwarven fool, and others are insulting the craftsmanship by calling you a dainty elf
Bro painted it green for absolute no reason. Edit: I am saying this again he painted it green for absolute no reason as he didn't cut the shape as he scratched. And acid didn't ate the metal for design it just barely scratched. He made his own feather design which he could have done without painting and scratching.
He shouldn't have to shoulder our preconceptions with regards to his eventual improvement. You could cut through the brewing resentments with a kni...🫢 🤭 ...well nevermind. ✌️!!
Wars may be won in the hearts and minds of men, as oppose to on the battlefield, but honestly, I'd rather be physically attacked with this than a fountain pen.
I always said it was the"racing" stickers that added 5mph each to your top speed. 😂 (like back around 15 years ago when Ricers were HUGE and everyone had Ingen and other stickers plastered all over their stock junkyard Honda with a gigantic whale tail spoiler in the back. Oh man, what an old ass memory unlocked. I used to love the import scene.
Needs more teeth (i suspect you were referring to the first "The Forest" game, where adding feathers to an axe gives it more speed but less damage, and teeth adds more damage) 😅
"While equipped, the user may no longer crit or cause bleed. Additionally, repairs must be made more often. ~ Although quick and silent, your blade may not be sharp enough, brother! -unknown ~
I could see someone leading a defense: "ALRIGHT MEN! THIS IS WHERE WE STOP THEM. THEY'RE COMING TO TRY TO KILL US. TRY TAKE OUR CITY! TRY TO BURN OUR HOMES. TRY TAKE OUR WOMEN AND CHILDREN. THEY WILL TRY. BUT THEY WILL FAIL. NOW, TAKE OUT YOUR WEA... OH MY FUCKING GOD. MY FOOT. MY FUCKING DAGGER SLIPPED OUT OF MY HAND AND LANDED IN MY FOOT! WHY DID THEY MAKE THE HANDLE LIKE THAT."
Some people really don’t know the difference between a functional knife and an art piece lol. It would be cool if it was sharp but it’s most likely just gonna be a display piece that’s handled a bit so it wouldn’t be ideal to have it very sharp
I get that the piece don't gotta function, but if it does function it'll be worth much more. I've always thought ppl who collect full swords were weird like u want a dull katana or 1 you can shave with. It's not cool unless it's dangerous
Exactly, i don't get people getting mad for it not being functional. Everyone knows that it probably won't be. It is about the looks in this case. Same with any decorative weapon, most of them are not great. Who would use a golden sword? Yet some had those things, not to fight with it.

Bruh. I live in a tiny apartment complex that is only 1br places & I have a neighbor that I can hear using a band saw or something at 2am. It doesn't even upset me, just confuses me & makes me wonder wtf he's doing.
@@DoobieKeebler While I'm writing an answer to you, there's my three stupid neighbors started to... Like.. Play bowling? I'm from Russia, and right now it's time to sleep and these two are just rolling some heavy metal balls right above my flat! It's 21:18 right now, broooo 💀
Our neighbor stole our mailbox and address (for context he actually built the mailbox for us like 20 years ago so him warning us beforehand would’ve made it somewhat reasonable apart from the address) and when we confronted him about it he said it was his mailbox and that meant it was also his address on the post, we of course had no words and my grandpa told the post office about it and they contacted the police after he refused to listen to them, long story short they didn’t do anything so now we have 2 houses with the same address right next to each other meaning almost every time we get a new delivery driver they deliver our packages to the wrong house and we have to explain the situation to them and they are usually dumbfounded, this has been an ongoing problem for about 5 years, he also has a camera pointing at our house that he basically watches all day, I’m used to it at this point but I’m pretty sure this is definitely not normal or at least I hope it’s not because I might actually go ballistic if I move and have another neighbor like him, sorry for the rant but this has been building up for a while and I don’t like talking about it in person because it frustrates me.
@@WillyC300 Wow, this is such a cool story! I'm from Russia so I never seen such things by myself. Also, as I know, in America it is very usual thing for someone in your neighborhood to steal your mailbox or your parcels. Anyways, thank you for your comment, it is very interesting!
@@DoobieKeeblerwith the amount of Tik Tok uploads increasing everyday, I wouldn’t be surprised if they’re doing some ridiculous work in hopes that it will go viral in your neighbors apartment
I don’t get why everyone is hating, it looks like he just wanted a fancy paperweight or display knife. I don’t think it needs to cut or stab or chop or even withstand the force of regular use. I wouldn’t want it, I don’t like the design, but I’m sure the guy shared it because he does like it.
Handle looks gorgeous; the scratches to create the striation of the feather were a great idea, but I can't say I like the notches... it think it would have looked nicer eith that full, complete edge, like a feather that hasn't been ruffled. That being said, this is an excellently crafted decor knife that would look nice in any collection
Yes. A real blacksmith would've forged Damascus steel, pounded out the shape and bevels, heck even the feather shape at the end, all with a hammer. This was just knife making with power tools. Nothing wrong with that but it's far cry from other stuff I've seen guys do on RU-vid.
I am a bladesmith/ blacksmith and you sir are correct, this is what's know as stock removal. The only forging done was on the power hammer to get a general shape and the rest was just stock removal.
@@Midaspl you mean ancient damascus steel. the term is applied to modern steel with similar patterns. The terms even been applied to firearm barrels that were pattern welded. You just want to split hairs and that's fine, but you can't change colloquial terms for things once they've been so cemented into the culture. Everyone calls pattern steel these days "damascus"
@@dragonwing4everyeah I was kinda wondering about that but it might be fine aslong as he cools it down after pouring the handle because it takes abit for heat to travel down steel
Tu trabajo es digno de un museo. Hermosa pieza. Y sobre los comentarios negativos... Gracias a dios vivimos en paises libres, si ellos deciden ser tont0s y los jace felices, adelante. Saludos desde Tijuana 🇲🇽.
Meanwhile the "real" blacksmith is using an electrical power hammer, a gas powered forge with accurate temperature readings, a lab grade heat treating oven, 6 different electrical belt sanders, an electrical drill press and modern quenching oil instead of water, its almost like technology was invented to make the job easier and the results better, im not saying his is better im just saying power tools are nice, and ive made a knife by hand from start to finish, it was a crap knife but ive done it and can say power tools are not a bad thing
@@wanderer_oti you say "you do it then" without realizing just how easy it is to do this with the tools he has, it's like making something in a high school workshop lol. I could absolutely do this myself, especially considering there's no actual forging here, just saws and power tools. he held a hammer for a grand total of 0 seconds during this entire process, and didnt even bother to sharpen the thing. He didn't even take proper safety precautions, not wearing any eye-protective gear while using grinders sending sparks everywhere, nor does he even wear gloves sometimes either. One nick from one of those grinders with no gloves and that's the end of your finger gone.
No that's false cutting out a shape doesn't weaken or introduce stress points. Forging these details would require cutting the steel with a sharp chisel anyways, so in both cases you're cutting the steel. But it doesn't change anything, modern steels are homogenous. Forging is mostly for saving up material by getting a shape without removing steel, but he doesn't really forge in his videos, he makes a big spatula and then cuts a blade shape into it...
Grinding the profile doesn't weaken it. The particular design he created has potential stress risers where the slits are at the base of the blade. When you forge steel, you create deformations in the crystallin structure of the steel and the heating process causes grain growth. You can do a normalizing process that refines the grain.
