I’ve been Striper fishing since 2009 and I always wait until an hour gone by then check to see if I have bait and if nothing bites I no for sure that sometimes there’s no fish swimming through. When the fish be nibbling on the bait it always makes you want to run to the pole to set the hook but normally those nibbles are mostly small fish because when the big fish bites they run with your bait and your pole will be bending like crazy
Thanks for the tip! I always get too excited when that bell rings. Another person also said to wait a little before setting the hook. I learned something new!!
@@mkdust yeah it does makes you get excited and ready to set the hook and bring the fish 🐟 in but if you do get a big fish on you’ll know when to set the hook. Good luck on your next trip
Yeah I used to get excited too but I know that feeling when you’re bored and been waiting for a bite for a long time and the first fish 🐟 nibble your ready to set that hook 🪝
that’s what happened when you walk into Walmart and don’t know what you’re doing haha! This rod is only rated for 3/4oz lures, but as you can see I’m throwing 6-8oz weight like there’s no tomorrow 🤣
