On BudgetEDH we build fun and optimized commander decks with a budget in mind. In this week's episode we build a Feather, the Redeemed $100 budget commander deck from the newly released Magic the Gathering set War of the Spark. We will play a voltron strategy, utilizing Feather's built in card advantage engine to get back our spells at the end of turn. In addition, we have a token subtheme to go wide and pump up our tokens with Zada and Mirrorwing Dragon.

Feather would allow you to reclaim Insult//Injury if you target a creature you control and he is on the board while casting Injury from the graveyard. Same for flashback if for some reason you get one in the graveyard without Feather on board.

Feather is also vulnerable to wheels and discard themes. So, depending on the meta, Library of Leng might be worth playing to help protect against those effects.

Past in flames would allow you to reclaim most of your stuff and can itself be discarded without a problem.

Library of Leng was an instant addition for me because discard is heavy in my meta. Reckless Rage is also an instant add to the deck because my friend has a Teferi deck. Keeping you from playing at instant speed hurts bad

"Give No Ground" would allow any of your creatures to block as many attackers as you want. it give +2/+6 and allows you to block any number of creatures this turn. "Monastery Mentor" isn't exactly budget friendly, he costs 20 $, but he is really good as you get a token every time you cast a spell. so unless you really want to keep it at around 100 $ I would include him. the deck is still budget at around 125-130 $.

Yeah, monastery mentor is a great inclusion. Unfortunately, I couldn’t fit him in this deck at our $100 deck budget series.

@@BudgetEDH I know, as I said, he's not budget friendly. "Give no ground" however is dirt cheap and a really good defensive card

I like Overblaze, didn't know about that card. But I swear I have watched every single video deck tech on Feather and NOT ONE mentioned Scroll of the masters. This card is so overpowered in Feather, it's budget, and you can easily have a +10+10 or more at any time. I got it to 25 counters in 2 turn rotations

Definitely worth including! Couldn’t fit it into the $100 budget! Also, smothering tithe is a auto-include if u have one!

Solar Blaze > Fell the Mighty imo it keeps feather alive but board wipes most creatures. It is a like a quarter instead of 5 bucks.

You talk like seize the day having flashback isn't a big deal, and I disagree. You can cast it from your graveyard (for less mana!) and still take it back to your hand as it resolves. That's a big deal if it gets countered, which it very well might be.
