2019 Bay to Birdwood was Cathy's first and she has entered her gorgeous 1974 Chrysler Valiant VJ Regal Hardtop. Cathy purchased her first Valiant at age sixteen and continues to love everything about them - including the way they smell!
As a fellow Chrysler owner,I approve. Actually my car club went on a run to wirrina cove a couple of months back! I reckon this was the car that was there. Noice
Lovely looking car. Strange to see a Regal without an internally adjustable mirror. In NZ even the Ranger XL had that as standard. Also our Regal sedans had the CxC grill
YES VERY NICE CAR IF I WERE TO DRIVE IT , THIS WOULD ANNOY ME THE FACT THAT THE STEERING WHEEL IS NOT CENTERD WHEN IT IS GOING IN S STRAIGHT LINE ONLY ME BEING PICKY , EVERY CAR I'VE OWNED I ALWAYS HAD TO CENTER THE STEERING WHEEL UP WHEN THE CAR IS POINTING STRAIGHT AHEAD ALL BLOODY GOOD THOUGH DONT ASK ME WHAT HAPPENED WHEN I WENT TO CENTER MY XY UTES STEERING WHEEL ,THATS ANOTHER STORY LOVE YOUR VAL ❤❤❤
Very nice, love the colour. My father had a '73 VH Hardtop Regal 770 318 auto in Spring Gold which he loved and is fortunately still on the road somewhere. Lovely wagons, great to see it in good hands.
& this was a much smaller seller, with most being Chrysler. You could buy anything back then. Soon you won't even have an engine choice. Batteries only.
Very nice I owned a VH orange regal hardtop with black trim auto on the column wood fake dash with round dials an a clock . Had the . Six and ahalf style rims with 23 5 60 white letters tyres sport system . The roof on the hardtops is lower then the Chargers put them side by side it’s a big difference . My VH came from Crookwell NSW he was a shearer only had it a few weeks. He got it of the original owner in orange NSW I sold it to help pay for my house was in good nick to someone in Goulburn have own many valiants chargers Dodges big block poly Dodge etc . I remember a green 265 Regal hardtop VJ in a car yard in Mudgee years ago mint . I also had a Factory 318 VH hardtop in my shed years ago sold to some one in Sydney . I new we’re there was a C by C hardtop been hit head on but could of been saved the story’s goes on .
Beautiful…and so is the car. 265in is economical…maybe compared to a 360 4BBL it might be. The manual box might drop the mpg down a bit but from memory the 265ci used to return on average about 18 to 20 mpg at best. It’s got to pull a big heavy, car around…and Vals were big. I had a VE and that was no where near the weight of the VJs and VHs.
I only like the VH-CM Models , I had a VJ ex Police Charger back in 1985, I paid $800 for it, for a ten year old car it had rust issues. But drove well
