Haya. Aaaaawwww teeny weeny baby cavies 💙💙always amazes me how they are just literally miniatures of the adults 😍😍Thanku 'sew' much for the mention, very kind of you ☺WOW, your welt pockets are fantastic 😀Lovely makes & lovely to catch up with you & what you have been up to 😀Thanku 'sew' much for sharing 🪡✂🧵🙂xx
What a shame that the bathing suit didn't fit. It looked really cute in that fabric. Everything else was wonderful. Love the peplum top and the skirt which will pair with so many tops. You have been a very busy bee. Good to have a catch up.
Was lovely to meet you all at your meet and stitch. The marnie looks like a tent on me lol must find a belt there's a waist in there somewhere. Lovely makes but wow those welt pockets are superb, would love a demo 😊 xx
Lovely video as always Catherine 😊 beautifully neat welt pockets! I’m looking forward to seeing your finished jacket. You made me laugh when talking about your swimsuit; you’re such a good sport. I’m hoping to make the Coralie swimsuit this year so will look forward to seeing yours. Enjoy your time off over Easter x
Love the World Book Day outfit. And your other makes too. Looking forward to seeing how you get on with the Coralie swimming costume. I am contemplating diving into swimsuit sewing ❤
Lovely to see your latest sewing makes, shame about your swimsuit, but we’ve all been there 🥺 have a look at Made for Mermaids Amalfi swimsuit pattern too, lots of options with the pattern. Enjoyed seeing the dungarees you made Sebastian, sew much fun sewing for children. Hope you all had a lovely Easter. 🥙🐣🇨🇦
Thank you for making me lol !! The image of you in your swimsuit will stay with me for a while! Love the dungarees for Sebastian he is a lucky little boy . Enjoy the Easter hols and thank you for your wonderful vlogs xxx
Beautiful makes including your swim suit. Just shorten the sides that meet the bottoms next time n see. Not that I’m an expert ( never even attempted swim wear) but it is lovely. 🙌💙💚❤️
Such a shame your swimwear didn’t go to plan the fabric is so lovely. I’ve had a similar #faildayfeeling 😮 with my size me Vienne dress, the elastic waist is pretty much half way down my butt 😂 I didn’t toile and now have to figure out how to salvage my Lady McElroy fabric 😵 your peplum top is gorgeous, I need to print that off and give it a go 👍👏😍
Thank you so much for your comment Julie, I’m so sorry to hear you’ve had a sewing fail too. I’m glad I’m not alone and hope we both have more success in the future. Have fun with the peplum top it’s a good one. Happy sewing 🧵 🥰
Lovely to catch up! Always interesting to see what you are making. Very cute piggy overalls. I have cut out a dog fleece outfit and a dog sweater this weekend. It might be a entry into selfless sewing challenge. Have a great week!
Your makes we’re all terrific. The little pig for Sebastian was adorable and shows how artistic and clever you are. The swim suit while not fitting properly looked very well made
Beautiful welt pockets, not surprised you are proud of them. We've all made mistakes sewing, but that's how we learn and improve, while the adjustments didn't work the swimsuit is beautifully made and lycra can be a b*tch to sew with! xx
Hi Katherine, somehow I missed this video.. glad it popped up again 🙏. So enjoyed watching this and you have made some wonderful things again 👌💖. Your welt pockets are perfection and I'm guessing you might have finished the jacket now. I adore your Sabina and your peplum top 💖.What a shame about the swimming costume... although under boob is very in you know 😜😂. How cute did Sebastian look 🥰. You are a clever creative lady 😁👌. Hope you had a lovely Easter with your lovely family and the animals of course 😁🐣🐇😘
I only realised recently that you were in Overton and hence your you tube name! I had friends who lived in Chilbolton. It’s a stunning part of Hampshire. I hope to get down to a sewing day from here in Surrey. Always love your enthusiasm.
Those welt pockets 😍😍 and the pig dungarees are just genius! I’ve never considered the Sabina skirt but seeing your version is just gorgeous! That’s a pity about your swimsuit. I’ve made the Coralie and I love it!! Amelia from Sew Amelia has a fabulous sewalong for her version!! X
I just made the Salina Skirt yesterday! I’m very tall and added 4” to the main skirt, not the ruffle and I love it. I used my Beyond the Pink Door challis fabric from a couple months ago and it turned about great. I think yours looks wonderful, and your peplum top is adorable. Keep trying on sewing a swim suits, you will get it! I think you learned a lot . Thanks! Great video! ❤
Beautiful makes. I love your peplum top, Sebastian’s dungarees are inspired! (You could always use HTV to recreate the bricks). I love the top you’re wearing, sadly not yet in my plus size, but I live in hope they’ll expand the range soon as it always catches my eye!
Love your makes particularly the skirt. Thanks for sharing the swimsuit. I made a TATB coralie 2 piece which took me ages and didn’t fit😢. So demoralising at the time but you win some you lose some I guess! X
Lovely makes, particularly like your French navy top and Sebastian’s dungarees are fabulous too! Could you save your swimming costume by adding some buckles or rings (hardware) at the shoulders to give you extra length in the chest area and a small insert or frill in a contrast fabric around the upper leg openings? You could possibly make features out of both as though they were intended 😊? Missing you here on RU-vid, seems like ages since this video (I came back to watch it again) 😅. I hope all’s well. Happy sewing 🧵😊 🧵
Hi Dee thank you for your lovely message. So sorry it’s taken me so long to reply. Love your ideas about the swimming costume. All good just so busy with my maternity nursing course that sewing and RU-vid has had to take a pause. I promise I’ll be back soon. 🥰
@@sewvertonmakery that sounds interesting I hope you’re enjoying the course. You must be itching to get back to some regular sewing time, but no doubt you’ll enjoy it all the more when you do. Looking forward to ‘seeing’ you soon but no pressure, it’s just good to know that you are well and all’s OK 🥰
Your sewing is beautiful, shame about your swimsuit. I just had a fail I made a top that turned out way too big😂. I’m in Australia and kristen from the dahliasewsociety made bathers and they were great, so not sure if you caught her video for them. I always enjoy your videos. Thankyou.
Loved the piggy photos and video (will piggy progress become a regular feature?!). Sorry to hear the swimsuit didn’t work out but thank you for sharing it in such an entertaining way 😊
OK it’s been a month or so and I’m starting to get worried. I hope that you’re OK. I miss your smiling face and hello. Maybe you said this on Instagram which I don’t usually use but hopefully everything’s fine and you’re just taking a break. Please know that I’m thinking of you and wishing you all the best. Julie.
Hellooooo Julie, thank you so so much for you wonderful kind message. I am well thank you just ridiculously busy! I’m currently training to be a maternity nurse and doing this in any spare time I have. So sewing and RU-vid are currently on a back burner. As sad as this makes me I’m enjoying a new challenge and I promise I’ll be back soon. I hope you’re well and happy sewing 🥰🧵🪡
Hi Katherine, I'd love to come to the meet and stitch meeting next week. Please can you give me some more information, time, venue etc. I take it from the mention of someone coming from reading you are Overton in Hampshire and not Morecambe? I've never been to anything like this so any info would be much appreciated. Thanks.
Hi Nettie, thank you so much for getting in touch. It is indeed in Overton Hampshire and we have a couple of ladies who come from Reading. We even have the Specky Seamstress coming to the next one too. It’s on Saturday 29th April at St Mary’s Hall. Please send me your email address and I’ll send you some more details. 😊
