Sir Jim is a lifelong Man Utd fan and after having made a huge investment, he will be fuming, as these poor performances don't align with his big ambitions that he, us fans and stakeholders expect. It will also be affecting the club's marketability and commercial revenues. A change in management is now needed as we need to compete for major trophies soon, or we will lose our elite status. He is a businessman who values performances and success.

The United we used to know is gone. Those standards & values haven’t been passed down, the continuity was severed. No one at the club really understands what it is to be a Man Utd player or manager. I don’t even think the Berrada’s, Wilcox’s, and Ashworth’s really appreciate just how different this club is to every other blue chip club in the world. Character & personality is always important, and all great teams have it, but it’s far more important in clubs like United, and Liverpool it has to be said, you need those salt of the earth characters, those hard workers, who’s character & personality vibe with the culture & fabric of the club, its city and its people. And of course you have a duty as a Man Utd player as it’s always been, to entertain, to have that sprinkling of magic, to play without fear, and I don’t think anyone at the club really understands that, I don’t trust the board to smell what a Man Utd player looks like. You don’t necessarily need to be a special player to play for Man Utd, you need to be a special character. And the way recruitment is now, those intangibles don’t show up on a piece of paper.
And if anyone wants names, I mean, sometimes it’s just intuitive for me, I can look at a Man Utd player and think “he’s a Man Utd player”, a left-back we should’ve been signing years ago, Theo Hernandez, productive, gets forward, has a great engine, never shirks a battle, has the bite in him, has that swagger. Lautaro Martinez would’ve been another one, a dog, an absolute pest, has bags of natural tenacity & grit, can set the tone from the front, is clinical. And I think United need those Jarrad Branthwaite, Evan Ferguson types, top young British players, with stature, physicality, they’ve both got that street in them. I always liked Paqueta for that old fashioned #10 role just off the striker, but I don’t mind Zirkzee. I’m sure everyone has their own takes, but those are just a few I would pin as “Man Utd players”. But the entire dressing room needs gutted, bar 4 or 5 players, max.

I've always believed you can pick up an indication of players desire/readiness/mentality from how they perform in warm up. Against Barnsley everyone looked sharp and up for it and interestingly that played out in the game, although, as many would point out, it was only Barnsley. Last night I spotted Bruno taking numerous practice shots on goal and he missed most of them, he then had a poor game. I like Bruno, always gives everything but he needs a rest. I questioned why he came on as sub against Barnsley when the game was won, no need!
