"Never before in the history of these islands have people's lives been so fundamentally changed and affected by a population explosion on a level that nobody could even have imagined. The population is up 10 million since (former British prime minister, Tony) Blair came to power, 6 million since (former British prime minister) David Cameron came to power. And the impact of that on accessing health services, the impact of that on rents, the impact of that on housing availability, the impact of that on traffic, on infrastructure, on everything. And I would argue very strongly that the population explosion has diminished the quality of life of everybody in this country. And yet, bizarrely, the other two (parties) would rather not even talk about it because they're both responsible."

"I've always been a disruptor. You know, I think we have a sort of status quo. The truth is that between Labour and Conservatives, on economics there are almost no differences, on immigration there are almost no differences, on really big issues they argue like, you know, they argue as if they're in a catfight. But the reality is there are no big philosophical fundamental differences at all. And we've injected something new and fresh into this campaign. I have no doubt we are the subject of most conversations around people's breakfast tables. And hey, you know, we might just keep growing. I think we've got a good chance of that."
