Thankyou for your insight. I just got a pair of these for my front wheels and they are loud!! I was wondering why the hell they’re so loud…funny thing is I also thought they sounded like an exhaust 🤣
Nice review dude... I just ordered a set for my oldschool GTI . i bought them more for the grip to price range and saw alot of reviews about the road noise which I have no concern with anyways. RT 417 is a nice road to test them out :D I live like 10mins away from where you filmed.
Not quite sure what you're asking. If you're asking about how many miles I got out of em, I would guess about 5,000 total before I went to wider wheels and tires. When they came off, I would guess they still had about 2,500 or so left in them. That's also including about 12-14 autocross events.
jcues03 I did use a company out of Miami, at first - Universal Tire International. Ask for Jose Aloyo. I ended up using FattiMotorworks the second time. They’re in Central Florida and the owner is a fellow autocrosser.
I would say I was around 5,000 or so before I went to the wider wheels and tires. I think they’ve got at least another 2,500 left in them. In fact, I’ll be taking two of the old ones as spares when I do the State Champs in November. I plan on doing another review when I wear the wider ones out.
Nitrous G35 Surprisingly good! Granted, I haven’t autocrossed or tracked them in the wet, yet. But on the street I’ve driven with them multiple times in the rain on both normal roads and highways. Not a bit of hydroplaning or sketchiness.
J Auto X i need a tire that grips more for my cts v but dont want to run drag rads... i already have a car on them and i daily the v... my only concern is i drive maine to nc to florida fairly often and dont want to give up the ability to travel... ive heard mixed reviews on the wet. Just need to be able to go 70 and under control on 95.
Nitrous G35 Nice. I can’t say I’ve had any issues in the wet with mine. I’ve driven with radials before but only to and from the track. However I’d imagine the Federals would have to be better than radials in the wet.
Marlon Ostil Depends on where you’re at. On a local level, its not terrible. Its up to you to decide if 1 second is worth about $1,000 in tire upgrade.
