Filmed two angles for this restored relic in the Santa Cruz mountains. This was my first time hearing one of these in person! As with any mechanical siren of this size, it packs a punch. It is tested on the first Saturday of the month at 11:00 AM. Many thanks to the Zayante Volunteer Fire Department for keeping this siren in top shape.
The main camera is a borrowed Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 6K Pro. The second angle is my Nikon z6 II - wiggling distortions are caused by the sensor's stabilizing mode being cranked to its max potential. I probably could've done without it, but at the same time that angle was done all handheld.
