Here is my Video of this Awesome 12 port 500. This was a new county for me to go. Some counties in minnesota just only do alert but this time in freeborn they do both alert and attack.
Omg it sounds epic in attack! Gotta love 500s. Very cool sirens! They’re also good for a 1960-70s siren ngl. The only thing that’s bad about their design, is the belt driven rotator
@@1000tCSX Depends. The early 500-SH with the large, wide horns used the STH-10's rotor and stator, while later 500-SH units such as this one use the Model 5's.
what was with the stop in rotation during alert? i see the rotator is driven by the chopper motor, so it couldnt be that the rotator motor shut off. could the belt have slipped? i am really confused
@@bruh3120 no it doesn’t. It’s the same chopper as the Model 5. If it had an STH-10 chopper, it would be as big as a P-50 and would have that long wind down. It even sounds like a Model 5/7
@@United_HVAC_and_Fans Penetrators aren't direct drive either. They're chain driven. The only direct-drive siren ACA ever made was the T-128 prototype.
