Happy independence day! For this test, I had no idea where I wanted to go, partially due to paranoia that a lot of places would cancel testing due to the holiday. I found out about this modulator at midnight before the test and realized it wasn't documented on any sort of map, so I set out to find it. After some professional google earth gaming, I found the location and set my sights to record it the following morning. The rest is history! This siren was EXTREMELY quiet, I didn't even need hearing protection when I got close, let alone at the distance I was recording from! Still though, nice to finally knock out my first modulator and dual-toned electronic siren!
Thanks for watching!
Strangely enough, this siren replaced a perfectly functioning 2001-SRN just east of it. The 2001 had its controls ripped off and it sat inactive for a while. By January 2024, it had been removed. I have no idea what Romeoville was thinking but that replacement is a downgrade and a half.
